I just started playing the TCG again and, want an okay deck. I was thinking UMA but I want something original.

You mean AMU? Only if you're super rich. It's a decent deck, great when played right, but I'd recommend Galactic decks now. Dialga G/Palkia G/Toxitank/Toolbox and the like. Easy to get into, and they're dominating the metagame now.

ToxiTank is very cheap, I heard a decent AMU deck costed $400, one that won nationals.

The cheapest deck around that's actually competitive is Scizor/Cherrim. It's cheap because it doesn't need Claydols, which cost $40 for 2. Also, it's only normal rares. I would give you a decklist, but I don't want to spoon-feed.

Why don't you just look around in the Modified Format Decks/Article Submissions for some deck ideas? There are plenty posted there.

Wait, this thing is still run by WOTC right, LOL. Anyway, I like AMU, butsounds expensive, how does the Hoho, Smergal, Jirachi deck run?

No, it's run by PUSA/POP now. Sold licences, etc. Only legal sets are Diamond and Pearl-on (for) now.

I was kidding. I knew that. So who is domanating the metagame, and what is the G pokemon or C Pokemon or T Pokemon?
Also, back in leuge, someone had an unstopaple deck (Save Mewtwo lv. x) It used Smergeal and Jriachi to get everyenergy on Hoho, and hoho doing 200 damage. It ran Something like this

2 HoHo
Two of each energy
Jirachi(S)
Smergal(S)
and Some trainers

Does it still work? It is kinda cheap, but still can do decent.

G Pokemon are owned by Team Galactic. G, C, E4, and GL are all types of SP Pokemon. They're strong Basics that don't evolve/evolve from anything. Kinda confusing, but all that is out as we speak are G Pokemon. G is Galactic, C is Cynthia, E4 is Elite Four, and GL is Gym Leader. Kinda like the old Gym Leader sets. Mostly confusing to explain. x_x

I lol'd.

I recommend getting into the game with something simple, as everyone else.
Mightytank and Toxitank are both good choices, and can actually be effective in the metagame.

But the problem with Ho-Oh is how fast it is. It may seem invincible, but some cards out there like Dialga G or Palkia G or even Toxitank can crumble Ho-Oh. Setting up 8 energy is of course very slow, but I like the idea of pulling out the energy quickly. Plus, that weakness and low HP can easily be overcome by Dialga G Lv.X (T1 Deafen+Crobat G+Sceond Strike) and Palkia G (He can KO any of your Pokemon probably by T2 with Crobat G + spread.) And 80 for four isn't worth it. Dialga G Lv.X can do 80 for 3, and launch that energy into the unrecoverable Lost Zone, thus you can't get it out. That would destroy Ho-Oh. And Machamp donk and even Kingdra. There are just too many things that counter Ho-Oh.
