Standard Giratina EX / Miltank / Vileplume

So heres another one of those Giratina decks that are starting to emerge from Ancient Origins built to a high standard. What that means is I'm not using chaff like Teirno and Shaunna and instead focusing on the ability to pull off the Lock as fast as possible. I also use a backup attacker in Miltank, some draw in Unknown for a fast reliable deck overall.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Pokémon:
  • 4 Giratina-EX (Lock Card)
  • 4 Unknown (Card Draw)
  • 2 Miltank (Basic Attacker)
  • 4 Vileplume (Lock Card)
  • 4 Gloom (Evolution)
  • 4 Oddish (Evolution)
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums:
  • 3 Level Ball (Searcher)
  • 3 Ultra Ball (Searcher)
  • 1 Switch (Gets out of Gloom or Miltank sitting there doing nothing)
  • 1 Ace Trainer (Disruption)
  • 1 AZ (Gets out of Vileplume sitting there doing nothing)
  • 2 Lysandre (Force Switches)
  • 2 Professor Birch's Observations (Draw)
  • 4 Professor Juniper (Draw)
  • 3 Wally (Evolution)
  • 4 Giant Plant Forest (Evolution)
  • 2 Muscle Band (Damage)
Energy:
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy
  • 4 Double Dragon Energy
  • 2 Psychic Energy
  • 2 Grass Energy
Strategy:

What stops this deck is decks that are faster; usually Rayquaza without a Mega Evolution on it, Fairys and Fighting weakness could hurt occasionally. Anything that sets up with Special Energy cards before you can get Chaos Wheel going really makes the difference since they get to attack before you do or get to attack with that Energy under Chaos Wheel.

First of all, in a lot of the lists I have seen for Vileplume decks, there are Wally's. This is just unnecessary because Giant Plant Forest provides the evolution and Ultra Ball/Level Ball provides the search. Now that my small little rant is over let's move on:D.

You don't need 4 Unown. 2 Unown and 1 Shaymin is what I have been using and it works fine.
Level Ball can only search out Unown, Oddish, and Gloom. That means you only have 3 search options for Giratina, Vileplume, and Miltank(and maybe Shaymin if you put that in). I suggest that you replace a Level Ball with an Ultra Ball.
3 Muscle Band pretty much needed so that you can Miltank can 2 shot EXs and Giratina can 2 shot Megas.
A little thing is that Juniper rotates but Sycamore is still in the format.
Also, 2-3 VS Seeker might help to get back stuff(by stuff I mean supporters and by supporters I mean the Pokemon car and by Pokemon card I mean...:p)
A problem I had, and it seems like you had, was my opponent putting out Special Energies or Tools before I can set up Giratina. To counter this, I put in 2 Xerosic because it helps both of these problems.
On a final note, AZ is a really go choice. For my deck I was using Hex Maniac to use my item cards but AZ works better because you can AZ, use your Items for a turn then use Giant Plant Forest to evolve back up at the end of your turn.
I'm also trying to use this deck so I hope it helps!:D
