Giratina Lv. X

I'm considering building one myself... but the box I got for Christmas didn't really have one! Oh well at least I actually a Dialga G Lv.X and a Drapion Lv.X! Back on topic... maybe you could use Weavile or Darkrai? I've found that it works GREAT!

How, to be more specific?

I think he means, use Weavile to charge up Giratina lv.X, then put Darkrai lv.X out and the attack does more damage because of the dark energy.
Weavile turn Giratina into a dark type.

Weavile makes your active Pokémon's type Darkness, Not it's energy cost. Torterra SF is fighting but Requires Grass Energy

I'm not saying I would use it, I am just saying that's what he is saying.
Did that make sense?:(

Anyways, what about Giratina and Frosslass? Just for the spreading.
This is just a suggestion, but I still go for Yanmega as it is faster.

I would not use that for the reason you already stated. Why bother charging up a Froslass and then a Giratina? That would take six turns....and then your opponent will steam roll through your deck.

4 Turns to fully set up your Main Attacker is still a bit of bother.
With decks like T2 Kingdra. Yanmega's 10 base, 10 spread and switch effect is truly needed!

Sure did ;)

Yeah, but hopefully you can get a second Yanmega up.....If each one gets 2HKO'd, that's 4 turns. All you need.

Eh, I'm not sure if Kingdra will be played during DP-PT. I think the format may slow down a little when Platinum comes out. Still, it won't slow to Giratina's level.

Regardless, you are able to get out Yanmega by T2 easy. T2 Donk will be hard to come by (unless you're talking Gigas), so you're guaranteed a likely T3. Giratina GC has an excellent T3 move.

There's rumours of the Diamond and Pearl set being format locked. What happened when the EX:Emerald Set was released. Was EX:Ruby and Sapphire format locked?

4 Yanmega at 90HP can last most attacks at T1-T4. They're not likely to get 1HKOed during the first few turns.

Scenario:
-It's your opponent's turn, He(/she) hits and he(/she) hits hard.
-Giratina gets KOed mid game.
-It's your turn and you have nothing on the field.
-That means you have to play whatever is benched:
Azelf at 70HP,
Yanmega at 90HP,
Claydol at 80HP.
-You Premier Ball it out of your discard pile and get it into your hand.
-You have nothing left to do but attack it you played Yanmega. And end your turn and prepare for another hit.
-In this scenario you magically have a Giratina in your hand You have to Bebe's for it.
-Retreat. If you played Azelf or Claydol then you'll have to wait till it's KOed before you can play Giratina.
-So 2 turns after he was KOed he is back. (Can you play a Giratina then Level Up? I don't know the rule on that. . .)

*Will whatever you have Benched be able to stand a midgame hit?

You can use LevelMAX to Level Up Giratina on the turn you play it.

I was actually just looking at this card a few hours ago and thinking how great it's going to be. It also brings back a rather forgotten deck type of disruption, so that's even better. Kingdra is getting really scarce right now, and probably will be forgotten about even more once this is out. The only other contender that could really knock out this deck's set-up is Gigas, and even that takes some setting up of itself, so I think Giratina will be quite safe from T2 Donks and whatnot.

That's the only problem. If you don't win they will (sounds obvious but..). The speed afterwards is just lacking.

Yes I did I was just stating a point. The Grass Energy is before the colourless. Every Pokémon needs Colourless Energy for their attacks. So it wasn't worth stating. Please be on topic!

I think the Palkia G Lv.X. Although it's a good card. You (SotH) like the card and just want to put it in a deck that it doesn't go with, Just because you like the card. I'm not being mean, I do it all the time. But it's clearer now that I'm seeing it from a clearer perspective.
This deck is a spread/distruption:
Disrupting their active Pokémon for 1-4 turns with Yanmega
Spreading to the Lost Zone with Giratina Lv.X
Palkia G Lv.X would fit in with a spread disruption deck as a main attacker but this deck needs the big bench. Palkia G Lv.X's PokéPower will do more harm than good for this deck :/
