If the Pokemon inside an egg is shiny, is the egg a different color too?

no, unless its a novelty. eg. easter bunneary

When breeding, what makes the Pokemon start laying the eggs? Do you have to click other people's Pokemon, or can you just sit back and refresh the page?

Fake Groundon, a corrupted egg. Why?

It's Kyogre's egg pattern, so I'm guessing a corrupted Kyogre.

It is. Believe me on that. After all, a Groudon egg is corruptable, but a Kyogre egg is not.
