When this card was first announced, I had a fun Idea with him an Shedinja with Exp. Share. Use Shedinja's abiliy to snipe for 3 damage counters, then use Devolution Punch to KO the Stage 1's an 2's. I'm still pondering with that deck idea though.

As long as big Basics are running the format, this card will combo great with the binder (which is a shame because devolution shenanigans are cool and Golurk is an awesome Pokemon).
Ghost Hammer has a neat effect that definitely helps given how popular Darkrai and friends is, but it's just so expensive... Personally I think that Golurk will see more play once the format slows down and Evolutions start becoming more popular. Until then, he'll probably just make a good league deck.

Agreed, Golurk is best in B&W-On format.
Against evolutions, he's great. But the problem is that he doesn't have the best partner to take out those EXs and other basics. There's Sigilyph or maybe Bouffalant for EXs (Preferably Sigilyph, since he is psychic and uses DCE) but for the non EX basics, he's outta luck. I hope that there will be a good partner for this guy sometime in the future. I'd give him a 6/10 right now.
