I just saw google ads on the site. Does it mean, that you earn money having ads on your site. If yes, I think that's illegal. Why? Because you are earning money, using copyright of Nintendo (Pokemons in general).

I think that every forum has advertisements, and it does not earn money, I think.

I never saw them before. But I hope you are right. I know, that if you have Ads on Neopets-related web site, they warn you, if they see your site. They told me that on some neopet-related website (I won't tell name, because I don't want to get baned for advertising)

Correct me if i'm wrong, but these adds are here as theyb Paid Dreamhost (or what ever WPM uses) to let them stay here. Looking at soccer, Feyenoord. Feyenoord has Fortis on it Shirt as many people see Feyenoord and Fortis wants to become rich, so they Pay Feyenoord to put them on there shirt. > Feyenoord

These google ads upset me. I always liked PokeBeach with no advertisement, but now blah. Well at least there at the bottom of the page.

Deal with it. Google ads help pay for this site so you don't have to.

Not same with me. Because I still didn't get any answer if that is legal! So... Is it? If it 100% is, you may lock it and I'll deal with it. Or at least try to. I don't care if Ads are on PB (because I haven't been on it since... forgot how long), but I don't like it on the PBForums, which are my fav. forums and even my homepage.

It's either that Dreamhost requires WPM to put the advertisements there or WPM wants to, for he can earn money. And no, it's not illegal, as PokeBeach is not affiliated with the Nintendo Company in any way. Ads cannot be locked. They're not threads.

Wait, what's wrong with having ads anyway NP? Because you think the forums will look bad, or because you think the forums will get shutdown for illegal activity?

It looks bad. I was just wondering if that's legal, because you can earn more money, then you have to pay for hosting and domain wit ads. but who cares. I'll just deal with it.
 
It is not for WPM to gain extra pocket money, it is for him to sustain the site, or else he'd have to pay for PB to not be shut down. IIRC.
