Pokemon:

  • 4-4 Gourgeist XY
    2-2 Meowstic XY
    2-2 Garbodor (garbotoxin) dragons exalted
    1 Mewtwo-EX
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums:

  • 3 Professor Juniper
    2 N
    2 Cheren
    3 Switch
    1 Master Ball (ace spec)
    3 Float Stone
    1 Hard Charm
    4 Level Ball
    3 Skyla
    3 Professor's Letter
    4 Evosoda
    3 Ultra Ball
    2 Bianca
Energy:

  • 8 Psychic
    2 Double Colorless

Strategy:
The strategy is to try and get gourgeist out ASAP so you can start spreading damage using Eerie voice quickly then try and get out meowstic to move the damage to a central pokemon using Ear influence. Garbodor (garbotoxin) is used to shut down abilities on your opponents side of the field to make the job a bit easier. Mewtwo is just a back up attacker in case something goes down... opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :D

Edited to coincide with the rules! :D ~Kecleon

RE: Gourgeist/Meowstic

I would say find room for some Hypnotoxic Lasers... the ability to OHKO absolutely anything you need to, even if you are pretty much sacrificing a Gourgeist to do it, is too powerful not to take advantage of. You probably don't need 3 Switches if you have 3 Float Stones, and 4 Level Ball, 4 Evosoda AND 3 Ultra Ball is a lot, can probably afford to drop a couple of cards there. Instead of Cherens/Biancas, try more Ns, or Colress or Shauna. You have a lot of search and no stage 2s, so you usually won't mind shuffling a couple of cards back into your deck, and you'll get more cards out of any of those three supporters instead.

Hope this helps :)

RE: Gourgeist/Meowstic

I would say something like -1 Switch, -1 Evosoda, -1 Level Ball, -2 Cheren, -2 Bianca and +3 Hypnotoxic Laser, +1 N, +2 Colress/Shauna. Then you have one spot left over for another supporter of your choice or another Hypnotoxic Laser.

If you needed a second extra space for whatever reason, you could probably get away with only two Professor's Letter.

Another option to fill the empty spot / spots could be Lysandre to combine with Laser / Spirit Scream and KO anything you want on your opponent's field if you need to get rid of something quickly.

Also, if getting one wouldn't be a problem, Dowsing Machine would probably be better in place of the Master Ball but if you're trying to keep it cheap, that might not be an option

RE: Gourgeist/Meowstic

You are also essentially commiting your Meowstic to move damage counters around in hopes of KOing opponent's Poké with only a 2-2 line and no Super Rod. Should any Espurr and/or Meowstic be prized and/or KOd, your game strategy can unravel very quckly. So, I'd suggest:

  • -1 Master Ball. Either Computer Search or Dowsing Machine would be more useful, IMHO.
-1 Hard Charm. Running only 1 of these will not make that much difference since most of your Poké have "low" HP.
-2 Evosoda. 2 should be sufficient with the other Balls.
-1 Skyla. 2 should be sufficient IMHO.
-1 P Letter. 2 should be sufficient IMHO.

+2 Super Rod. The vast majority of your Poké will be 1HKOd; so, you'll need to recycle your Poké.
+3 Ht Laser. Spirit Scream is just too awesome not to use.
+1 N. More draw and opponent's hand disruption. (It is not uncommon to play from behind; so, Ns are quite useful.)
I too run a Gourgeist deck and its fun and a real challenge. I run mine with Dusknoir though, but your Garbodor line has now piqued my interest in going back to my lab and try that particular option.

I hope you find my comments helpful.

I'd run 2 Mewtwo to be honest, its just too good of a back up attacker to not. On top of that, the others have good opinions. Like running super rod, or running another Meowstic.

I'm actually working on this deck casually for a noobie at my local card shop. He got the Meowstic starter deck, and I told him about the strategy and went crazy haha. So thanks for posting! This really helped :)

I got to say thanks guys! The deck certainly looks much more solid than when I first tried to create it *cough* magnezone / meowstic / duskull *cough* XD idk what I was thinking when I made that but it wouldnt be at this stage if it were not for you guys so again thanks!
