I have Photshop Elements 5.0, so, yah..I literally started only two weeks ago, so advice would be nice.
 
@Aggie: When you are making a signature/banner you need to use a HQ render (or as close as you can get). I don't think there's any problem with drawing it yourself but you are going to want to make it a lot cleaner. Xous had a tutorial about how he draws his own pokemon that he can use for renders that I will post for you as a reference. Going past that to make a background for your banner you need either brushes or c4ds. Brushes are a lot simpler to use, but if you want to enhance or even make your banner completely on C4Ds i may not be the best to ask but I can probably help. You can download brushes by typing in "Photoshop brushes" in deviantart and downloading them and putting them into the brush folder. Once you get those I'd advise you to look at a couple tutorials to get a feel for what I'm soon going to tell you. Some good ones are here: www.amaestrog.deviantart.com (browse the gallery and look for them).

@Monpyro: I have a lot of fonts, I usually just scroll down the list trying each one until I find one that fits. One like the one you have without that drop shadow included would be fine.

Hello everyone. ^w^

Thank you lilsparks for letting me join. Well, I'm very iffy about graphic arts since I'm so used to traditional, but I decided to try it out for once. I usually would prefer to scan images and color them, but I'm going to try something new by making banners and abstracts.

I just finished this so constructive criticism would be a pleasure to hear. :3

I like the feel to it a lot, the only thing it the yellow stuff around the face of the bunny. I would blur that yellow and set it on overlay and maybe duplicate if the lighting (which is what i was implying by setting it on overlay) isn't strong enough.

And lilsparks, yeah when I first put the yellow behind it I wasn't sure if I should have dusorted it or blurred it because it looked weird so I just left it alone. I'll probably fix it tomorrow when I have time.​

Well I was hoping to see a couple more registrations before I started anything. But if we would like to start a project I would like all members to post that they're willing to participate, and if they would like they can post an idea that I could take into consideration.
 
Um, that sounds cool, but the first thing is whether or not it should be pokemon related I think when choosing a project, so we should decide that first.
 
I have a pretty good idea for the project especially since we have so many spriters in the group. But I'll have to think about how to do it some more.

On a different note does anyone have a new banner to show me?

@monpyro: Whats behind the smaller Goku? There's a couple things I would do to it to make it better. If I could, could I edit it to show you what I mean then call it a collaboration?

@Everyone: I'd like to get some opinion of a new mix of styles I have been working on. These are all done as requests but I'm still showing them. I also have a larger one to show that I had submitted for a signature of the week on another site, and one for this site.

I can Give you the PSD if you will .behind the GOHAN are some gohan copies set to Light Color and overlay i think.
At your banners all are good really but i dont like much the Tsutaaja bcuz of light is now the Text not clearly readable
