Out of curiousity, have you ever painted any fun, really creative just design-type-things? Bet you could do some really nice stuff with some spirals and dots and such...

Aww, she's sooooooo cute. My only suggestion might be to shorten the whiskers, and add bits of color inside the eyes.

The latest three additions to your gallery look brilliantly crafted! Firstly, I would like to say that the color scheme for the Shroomish is excellent, and with the additional hues for shading the overall Pokemon you had picked, it looks a little more three-dimensional that makes it look round and cute. Secondly, I like the way you chose the calm background. It only enhances the contrast of the picture further, thus, making the Pokemon's features even more emphasized. Now, the only one small part I would recommend for you to refine is the position of the highlights on the Shroomish. Right now, I could tell that you highlighted the edges of the painting only, and most often, that won't necessarily be the right approach when it comes to the aspect of shading and highlighting. If you work on those, then Shroomish will become a lot more lively!

As for your other works, there was not anything worth noting. Besides that, keep it up!

RE: Grumpigfarmer's Art & Stuff...Time for more stuff!!!

Thanks Dark-G, I wanted to do more highlights in the middle but I did not know where to put them, after I added the face and spots there was not a lot of room left to add any. But I do love to add highlights and shading to my art and sometimes I think "Why does it not look right? What do I need to do to make it pop?" And those words of advice will help me a lot! Thank you.

I like the Shroomish!

Nice shading and colouring as always, Grumpigfarmer.

RE: Grumpigfarmer's Art & Stuff...Time for more stuff!!!

One thing I really did think was truly impressive was the radial gradient on the second piece. The transition from a certain shade or purple to the pink really does stand out and makes the entire piece come together.

Awesome job!
