Nuking it would melt the pipeline, stopping the flow of oil.

And keep in mind, it work fine for Russia, FIVE times, so USA, with their better nukes should be able to pull it off no problem.

The fish are already dead. I keep saying this and no It is Not fake if it were then I would not be posting because I am from FL and it is one of the biggest news stories and is anyyoing because they won't shut up about it. Obama is also doing jake to do anything to help

Going with what you said it is BRITISH so yes we blame the brits.


Card slinger we all ready know that it is worse and they aren't really doing anything we just have to deal with it and it still makes me mad that this is happening.

Someone really should just throw a lit match out there.
And cover the hole with a rock or something.
 
I think BP should squeeze the pipe using hydraulics and robots (to position). That will stop the flow to where the end can be welded then re-drill another well.

It is a very easily duplicated, reliable, surface controlled application it would simply need to be cycled as it was submerged to prevent a blowout in the seals from the pressure change as well as the fluid being heated.
