The new dusk mane can snipe benched leles or gxs. Its also gives a little disctraction so you can setup Metagross-GX. Choice bands are needed for your Dusk Mane attack for 90-130 and two shot most gxs. Dusk Mane can also be use to finish off enemies that Metagross can't one shot(most GXs).

You definitely don't need 4 baby Dusk Mane. 2 should be plenty between Pokemon recovery and Metagross being your actual attacker, which you should play 4 by the way for consistency reasons. I would also drop Pal Pad and a couple other things for more draw support. N should be at least a 3 of in just about everything playing Octillery. When you play stage 2 decks, the last thing you want is to have a dead hand. Another good rule of thumb is to play more than 1 Parallel City, or don't play any. Playing 1 can easily be countered, and because you don't aggressively(at all) draw turn 1, your odds of hitting it with an ideal turn 1 are slim.
 
I use 4 Dusk Mane to have a better chance of leading with it. It attacks for 1 energy and can dish out 120-180 within the first two turns while im still trying to setup metagross. I will add an N but i really like pal pad so ill drop the parrallel and add N.
