because tangrowth x is the ryperior x of AoA. or gallade x from RR. it seems really nice, it plays fairly well, but it can't consistantly control the metagame. it does not have all around power like flygon, or blazeray. or even beedrill. all the deck is is slight healing, with energy acceleration an spread. that is easier to counter than "I kill your x on bench, my nido heals my pokemon, my nidoqueen can also hurt you, i discard your cards, i kill your stadiums, i prevent damage done to me, i can tech in so many cards, i.e dusknoir, exploud, gardevoir, gallade, the list is endless"
tangrowth, ryperior, and gallade are pretty decent cards, but they just are not flexible. they all need cards built around them. and that means less tech and less versatility.
they just cant keep up with the changing formats. get me?
