RE: Haiku & Short-Poem Contest VIII (Signups/Submissions taken now!)

Sorry, I honestly didn't catch it. But it wasn't a huge issue anyways since it originally still counted as a short poem, though it wasn't technically a haiku. In any case, I re-updated the OP.

RE: Haiku & Short-Poem Contest VIII (Voting starts now and runs until Sunday morning)

Voting begins now. It's open to all members of PB, so don't be shy about casting a vote for your three favorite poems. For newcomers to the forums, you have the ability to click on more than one option in the poll, but if you select more than three I'll have to deduct a few of them to keep things fair for all participants. Also if I catch any participants voting for their own poems, a point will be taken off as punishment (but that's all that will be, since this is supposed to be a casual contest).

RE: Haiku & Short-Poem Contest VIII (Voting starts now and runs until Sunday morning)

For those of you who haven't voted yet, you should. It is only fair that if you are entering with a piece of your own, that you pick which one(s) that you feel did the best since it is public voting to determine the winner.

RE: Haiku & Short-Poem Contest VIII (Voting starts now and runs until Sunday around Noon CST)

I reset the approximate deadline for voting to Sunday around noon CST. Just remember that I may close it earlier on in the morning if it seems that nobody else is going to vote.

Also, like King Arceus said, if you submitted a poem (or are just reading this thread out of curiosity) and haven't voted yet, please do so.

And voting is closed!

For this round, Empoleafeon's poem came in first place with seven votes. King Arceus' poem came in second with six. Finally, Alvin SubClause's poem came in third with five.

Congratulations on your victory, Empoleafeon!

Well at least I tried. Congrats. I still wish everyone who entered would've voted though.

Well, I did better this time. Finally got a point. :p

Congratulations Empoleafeon!

I've given some serious thought to making it mandatory that anyone who enters a haiku has to vote. While most regular entrants do, I find it a little disheartening that the others don't take the time out to.
