Announcements! Teal, your poem is disqualified this round for obvious reasons. Post something like that again, and you're blacklisted from this contest indefinitely. I took it in some serious offense since my own poems in the past few contests that I've entered weren't haikus.

Against my better judgment I allowed the slight alteration to your poem, Deus: Nightmare Autarch. Starting next round, I'll allow minor alterations to be made upon request, but I won't allow the "switching out" of poems entirely. What you submit is what I post in the OP, unless I have reason to disallow it altogether.

Lastly, if I catch any more BS being posted here in supposed guise of a legitimate entry, I'll cancel this contest altogether. I'm tired of people posting crap and thinking that it will be accepted when I actually do disqualify things if I feel they're posted in order to troll me/this thread. Voicing your opinion is one thing, but I have little tolerance for stupidity done at my expense (in the sense that I actually have been taking the time out to keep this contest going since I started it).

Wow, voting was really easy for me this time around. I get to pick 3, and only 4 of them are actual haikus? That didn't take long. Submitted.

The only reason I asked is because, when writing that I thought I counted the syllables correctly, but I did not. Otherwise, I would not have bothered to ask.

I still reserve the right to disqualify your poem if I feel like it's stupid or just don't like it. I try to be fair to everyone, but I ultimately have the final say in this contest.

Alright. The results are as follows: GHJamesGH and I tied for first with four points apiece; Zyflair came in second with three points; Deus: Nightmare Autarch and Lucky Fire tied for third with two points apiece; and lastly HokyMackerel, Arcanine954, and AnimeUSA are disqualified for not voting. Thanks to all who entered and voted.

I'm actually glad James won. It was my personal favorite out of all the poems. Congratulations.

I got tied with Lucky Fire? I have this weird feeling that Fate is messing with me again.

Voter turnout could have been better, considering how some people didn't vote at all.

Not counting the three that didn't vote, we still had eight voters (and 23 votes, lol), so not bad.

Wasn't three people (not voting) odd? Because if they knew they'd be away on voting day, they wouldn't have entered at all... I was expecting to do the same, but I discovered that I'd be online for a week, so oh well.
