now back on topic: yah, i think RS had nothing, at least ive heard that. I remember when i played 4 bebe's and 4 celios, everywhere! though it would be funny if we lost Rare candy, and we played 4-4-4 with 4 BTS, speedrill would pwn! But im sure we'll keep candy, for atleast next rotation. and who knows, we might get some weird new trainer that does something weird and new!

Well, I think the era of RS is possible, although when Sandstorm came out, didn't it also have Rare Candy? So I guess the Era of The E-cards until RS was devoid of usable trainers.
But back in RS they also had Expedition/Aquapolis/Skyridge with cards like Oracle, Copycat, Fast Ball, and Boost Energy, all really great trainers/energy.
But to answer your question I really think it was in the DP-GE/MD format, I mean com'on. LA hadn't come out with all those good trainers and Uxie. SF without Luxary Ball, The Poke'blower/healer/drawers. Don't you guys agree?
Ever since after Legends Awake everything's gone rouge, which is good for rouge players, but now you can't come up with an anti-archetype deck, because you never know what your going to run into: Regigigas Lv.X? Galactic Variants? Skuntank/Mightyena? Gengar? Kingdra? Blastoise/Delcatty? Com'on!
