Flaxure's ability is amazing if we just get good Haxorus ex. T1 TM evolution and benched Flaxures would be gust protected

More food for Drago, but Haxorus definitely feels a bit late to the party for it.

230's solid, and there's no option that hits damage above 230 that doesn't either compensate with energy loss or limit attacking next turn. But, 240 is a relevant damage benchmark to hit now, and 260-270 is becoming more apparent too. With Ogrepon as an energy acceleration engine, it's probably still just more consistent to use Giratina to cover that stuff in the middle, else you got a bunch of Drago fodder that begins cluttering the deck. It's certainly an option at least looking at for that, and should be considered if damage benchmarks ever change in favor of it.

Drago having an option to cover special energy is cool... if the one matchup you cared about that right now didn't also pack Mist Energy. You'd still need Temple of Sinnoh on top of that. Ugh.

That fraxure with Omega Barrier is great, just like Unified Minds Axew was. I'd just hope we eventually get a Haxorus that can carry its weight offensive by itself to go with it.

I don't think this with ever see play outside of Regidrago Vstar decks. While it does have an interesting attack that could be usable, you'd need to set up a stage two, and run a fighting energy.

230 damage is pretty good on a single prize pokemon, and an instant knockout on something like Lugia Vstar is good too. Worse pokemon have seen play, we'll just have to wait and see if it works or doesn't.

if anything, it can still be ran with Axew from BRS which can instant evolve into Haxorus (and maybe utilize Neo Upper Energy if you're feeling fancy), but it does leave Haxorus open for one turn which in the current meta is one turn too many

The Fraxure has the same ability as the Axew from Unified Minds. The Haxorus is pretty cool too, nice attacks.

The haxorus is probably not so useful for regidrago vs lugia, as mist energy prevents the effect from “axe down” anyways
Yeah, it would have been nice if it also had some kind of Shred-adjacent wording to allow it to pick off Mist Energy users since Special Energy isn't a guaranteed thing in decks right now, but at least its other "just does damage" attack is particularly strong and inexpensive to use. All in all a pretty fun guy that guards itself from someone trying to pull it forward before you're ready to fight. Could be a decent line to build behind something that protects itself from damage in the active spot, like Cornerstone Mask.
