I am thinking about getting some buster boxes but what ones will be best to get?

BOOSTER boxes. This should be moved, but IMHO stormfront seems like the best set so far and that is the right box to buy, and if not that than LA does not hurt either. 7 LV Xs is the most ever in a set.

Is (SW) going to be out next season?

We don't know for certain, but it would be safe to assume that next format we will not have SW. Think about:

In HP-on, we had:

HP, CG, DF, PK, DP, MT, SW, GE, and MD.

Four Sets were eleminated.

In DP on, we have:
DP, MT, SW, GE, MD, LA, SF, GC, and ??

That is nine sets in total, so it is very likely that SW will be cut, and possibly GE, but I just hope and pray we get to keep Claydol. It broke the format like no other, and I think a lot of players will have a hard time letting it go.

As far as Boxes go, I would get a Japanese one (off Ebay). You get much better card ratios in it, more trainers, basic energy in each pack, and higher Lv.X ratio. Personally I would go for IFDS (IFDS = Japanese SF), but if you want to stock up on cards for the next set, GC (Galatic's Conquest) could still be an option.

I would get 2 IFDS (Japanese Stormfront) Boxes personally because of all the great trainers and pokemon in it.

But if you are looking for a variety of cards, I would go 1 IFDS and then get a Cry From Mysterious (has Froslass, Kingdra, Cynthia, and a few other keepers). Either that, or you could try and jump ahead of everyone and get a Galatic's Conquest Box, letting you experiment with the new cards before they are released.

What are the ratios of Lv.X's in a booster box? Are they different for different sets? (ex: would you get twice as many Lv.X in a LA booster box than a MD box?
