So my daughter came to me and showed me a contest or giveaway of some sort that said she had to beat 6 games to have a chance at winning a set of Pokémon cards. I was hoping I could get some more info on it because I’m a klutz and accidentally closed the page. Also if anyone does know I have attached a file because she wanted to know if these were kid games lol. Have a blessed night everyone :)

Sincerely, some old “boomer”

It sounds scammy - if your daughter wants a particular set of cards, it'd be worth buying them directly through a card shop like TCGPlayer, instead of spending money and time buying and playing six games.

edit: Do you mean this? This is probably just a meme that the webmaster posted.

I've admittedly not watched the show, but it looks to me to be a reference to Squid Game, which has recently become a very popular show on Netflix (the concept of the show is that 456 adults compete in a series of children's games to win a cash prize). My guess is that the tweet was done as a reference to that, and not done in a serious manner.

By the way, I still don't understand why this show has become so popular. adults won't be surprised or interested in it. have young people promoted it so much?
