Ho-Oh/Torn
Ho-Oh/Torn is a BW-on deck. It has two Pokemon: Ho-Oh EX, and Tornadus. It is better to use a normal Tornadus instead of Tornadus EX because hurricane helps move energy to the benched Ho-Oh EX.Ho-Oh EX does 20+ for each different type of basic energy attached to it. It requires three colorless energy to attack. With all energy attached to him, Ho-Oh EX is capable of doing 180 damage. Ho-Oh EX is able to knock out any EX in format as long as they don't have an Eviolite attached to them.
Ho-Oh EX's ability Rebirth allows it to go from your discard pile to your bench. In the process of doing so, you get to attach three different kinds of basic energy cards from your discard pile to Ho-Oh EX. That's really great because he is then set up to attack.
Tornadus is great to start with if you have the option to do so. If your opponent starts with the Dragons Exalted Sigilyph, Tornadus is the one to knock it out. You could also use him to stall if you want to. When you do attack with him, it's best to use hurricane. It allows you to add more energy to Ho-Oh EX so he can do more damage.
The main trainers and supporters in this deck are Professor Juniper, Ultra Ball, Energy Switch, and Super Scoop Up. Professor Juniper and Ultra Ball allow you to discard Ho-Oh EX and energy. Energy Switch is important because it allows you to move energy to Ho-Oh EX in case you need to do a little more damage. Super Scoop Up allows you to take back an active Tornadus to send up a Ho-Oh EX without retreating.
Ho-Oh/Torn was one of the top Japanese decks. It isn't expected to be used to much in this country since most overlook it and use AltariChomp. Therefore, this deck will be under the radar.
