Ho-Oh from Call of Legends (SL#5) [4/11]

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?

My first first :) and my second review

1. Analyze the stats of the card (HP, Weakness, Resistance, Retreat cost).
Decent HP for a basic. not so good Weakness, Resistance is nice but no help against machamp. AWFUL retreat cost.

2. Analyze the attacks (and/or Poke-Powers, Poke-Bodies) of the card.
both attacks deal decent damage, but are just too costly.

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Typlosion prime, heatran Lv.X and DCE would make it 100 every turn guarenteed but for 5 energy its not worth it.
nafter black and white with emboar its a little better but still awful compared to much better cards out there.

4. What techs can you use to combat the weak points?
Heatran X, typlosion, Emboar

5. How's the artwork?
the background is nice. but ho-oh's art is really Boring.

1/5 its just far too slow. unreliable attack. horrific retreat cost.
 
^ Please no pointless post's, atleast answer all the questions don't just say it's crap. And I Assure you there is ALOT worse legends in CoL, This one although not great it is alot more usable then some of the other ones in the set...


Guiding questions:
1. HP is great but pretty standard for legend, resistance helps against champs / donphans, pretty terrible retreat cost
2. Attacks aren't that great, but not terrible compared to other legends in the set, 2 energy for 50 (Fire and DCE) or 100 for 4 energy (again using DCE) effect of scorching wind is abit iffy to =/
3. Heatran X, typlosion, Emboar to help recycle energy to keep doing 100 a turn, 120 with belt
4. Can use above pokemon to combat energy discard, nothing you can do about retreat (without running to many techs for a not so worth it attacker)
5. Like alot of cards from CoL, great artwork
6. 2.5/5 - Gave it this rating as compared to some of the other legends in this set this one is alot more viable than some others. Great artwork perhaps if his first attack was (F)(C) and the second attack was (F)(C)(C) he might have seen abit more play
