Standard Ho-Oh GX and Salazzle GX Deck Help

Hi there! I am looking for some input on my current Ho-Oh and Salazzle GX deck. I am really suffering from matchups against Alolan Ninetales GX that use baby Alolan Ninetales from Burning Shadows, and Greninja Break decks. I seem to be in a very bad place if I can't get a Ho-Oh GX and Kiawe start and flounder from there. I am also wondering how this would match up against Gardevoir GX decks, and am looking for suggestions on how to deal with that.

My idea for this list came from Yoneda's World's deck, and focuses on powering up Ho-Oh quickly and using Salazzle for mid to end-game play, while using Turtonator's GX attack to get energy back to my bench mid to late game. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Thanks for the input! I like the item setup you have, I may rework mine to add in another Field Blower and Rescue Stretcher.

Right I would say 90% of decks should run at least 2 Field Blowers and 1 Rescue Stretcher. In my opinion you can't do much about the Greninja BREAK and Alolan Ninetales GX matchups. You could run Altar of the Sunne, but really would not suggest that. I would just let those matchups go, and know your not going to be able to win the very often. Your best shot is using 2 or 3 Ho Oh GX's because they aren't weak to water.

The pokemon count here is only 14. maybe add an extra elixir? also I am debating how good it would be to run 3-3 salazzle because most games I find myself wanting an extra salazzle on the betch to close out the game. 2-2 means if 1 thing is prized you technically only have 1 salazzle at your disposal.

I would still try to run one or two Altar of the Sunne, I have before and its actually worked. Cause when you have to choose between using Field Blower to discard stadiums or items, they'll have to choose and it can save your item or they choose not discard the stadium and save your weakness. I feel like there has to be a better way though to have a chance against water decks besides "letting it go".

I hadn't even considered Altar of the Sunne! I may add just one to prepare for water matchups. Great suggestion.

I think running 1 Altar of the Sunne is very inconsistent, and 2 wastes a lot of deck space and is still kind of inconsistent. I tried to put it in Metagross to counter Volcanion, and trust me 1 or 2 just doesn't work out very well. Also thanks for pointing out that the pokemon count was 14. I agree that a 3rd Max Elixir is a good idea.
