'Hoenn Collection Box': Primal Kyogre-EX and Primal Groudon-EX! [9/2]

Trainer: P GroudonEX!
P GroudonEX: I CAN'T PEE. I HAVE A BLADDER DYSFUNCTION.
Trainer: Lol you're funny, screw the Treasure Tin, I'm getting this Hoenn Collection Box. Or both. Yeah both I hate making decisions like this.

Moral of the story: P Pokémon are awesome

GOD DAMN IT! Why can't they just release these cards as playable promos in boxes like this instead of the god damn giant cards?! Japan gets EXs and Megas in THEME DECKS for crying out loud! TT___TT

EX-citing! But there's not much to talk about, since all we know is: They exist.

Question is, what will TPC do to distinguish these (most likely) unique cards from regular Mega Evolution cards? Will it be a major cosmetic change? Or perhaps some mechanical difference?

I wonder if they will have Spirit Link cards associated with them...

Not much I can say about this set until we get actual images and translations of the cards. I'm sure normal sized versions of them will be released down the road too. Hopefully they'll find more use than the Dark Explorers Groudon and Kyogre did, but without some support for megas in the future, I can't really see it.

I look forward to seeing how they pull of Primals in the ccg. I wonder if that means sooner or later we're going to get other Primal Pokemon, I'd guess yes but hey you never know.

Hey, if the starter cards here are the same as the treasure tin with different artwork, do you think that will make them different promo cards?

Amen, brother!

Well in this case it might be because we're not officially getting ORAS until at least February, Without knowing how primals play it's kind of hard to say for sure.

As a rule I do agree with you on releasing stuff like regular cards rather than giant cards, I made similar comments when they revealed the shiny Gengar distribution and the shiny M. Gengar EX promo a week or so ago. But there are some people who like these giant cards, they are promos in themselves after all and I happen to have a binder diverted to a promo collection.

They probably want to "release" the cards without releasing the cards if you know what I mean.

How else would they make them tournament illegal indefinitely, and also make them official?

I still think it would be fun if they made huge energy & trainer cards as well.
That way you could have a huge deck to play somebody with (just to see their face when you plop it down).
