Holon Mentor vs. Roseanne's Research

in a deck what would you think would be faster, more efficient, or useful with only four spots...

4 Roseanna's. To answer your question. But 2 Mentor + 2 Roseanna's(covers Stone's and gives you searching power).
 
Personally, I think that Mentor works better, especially in Roserade, Magmorter, Electrivire, and Jynx decks, since you can grab the baby and the evo, and then another poke.
Then again, Roseanne's is pretty good, since it can be used versitally both early game and mid/late game, as Holon Mentor is just garbage late game.
 
It really all depends on the deck. Mentor still remains a very good card for the decks that run Castforms as the Castform practically counts as an entire Roseannes by itself, and I can't justify just grabbing a Castform when I could get two and an additional base.

If you're still running Delta (Kingdra, Flygon, Gatr), stick to Mentor. Anything else I would suggest running Roseannes.

They're both extremely versatile. I run 2 Mentor and at least one Roseannes in my Swarm.
 
It depends a lot on the deck. If you need the discarding, use Holon Mentor. If you run Baby Pokémon along with they evolutions, run Holon Mentor. If you run Holon's Castform as the starter, run Holon Mentor. Apart from those, use Roseanne's Research.
 
If GG is popular in you area, run Mentor, so that Telepass can't grab two energies.
 
this is actually for a GG deck :p

anyways after a couples games using roseannes and a couple balls instead of mentor,
ive found roseannes to actually more consistantly useful than mentor. mentor worked really well in my blissey/raichu deck but in my GG deck, discarding hurts and during mid game, its completely useless.

but...
wow!!, using a sort of ball/supporter engine works extremely fast :D
on one game, i got a ralts t1 with nothing but a single energy and by t3 i had a charged up gallade active, 2 kirlia's, a feebas d, and a stantler.
not as fast as some engines out there but definietly faster than when i relied solely on supporters; as i did with my blissey/raichu deck.
