Heh, throughout my ENTIRE time in middle school I didn't have much actual homework to do. (Except in an advanced class I took in 8th...and I still usually got my regular homework done in class anyway) I'm surprised to hear sixth graders doing an hour each night....I had more like zero minutes a night at that age.
Anyway, I have fairly little of it now....but it could get worse in the near future. ;/
How much time do you spend in class? 2-5 hours per night is a LOT of work if you include class time... :/
Stupid school system is such a joke. Give kids homework until they're doing more work than their parents leaving no time for anything but school... -_-"
I don't do it more then I do it, that could be a reason I don't feel I get much homework. I only get 2 hours worth of homework 2 times a week, I'm in good sets at school so I don't know why. I think in England teacher only set homework when they think we haven't done enough in classes, different subjects seem to set more then others.
Got 3 hours a day and 5 in the weekends. Time I spend on school is from 8:30 AM till 4:15 PM. 3 times 3 hours of swimming a week. So yeah... Not much free time left.
Not counting studying, I'd say it averages out to 4 hours a night. Fortunately our timetable tends to be pretty lax, it's all about scheduling your own work routines.
Of course, all depends on the person. Some people put in more time than others. I tend to study a lot but don't spend as much time as I should on coursework.
Wow, your homework time goes into the hours? Honestly I do most of my homework at school. It SHOULD be about 30 min. of hw regularly if I didn't do any at school but because I do, I have about 5-10 min. of homework everyday (unless I have an essay to write, but that isn't often).
I rarely do my homework, nor do I really get a big amount, so i'd say about an hour each night, sometimes it goes higher than that mainly from procrastination but w/e. EDIT: my 888th post.
It should take me about 2 hours every night, but I don't really do it unless it's worth a lot of points. It's just that I hate hate hate really tedious work, and sometimes I feel like it's not even worth the .5 of a grade point or whatever. They run you ragged for tiny little grades sometimes.
30-question math assignment for 25 points out of 1,000 in the gradebook? Screw that, I'll just do well on the test.
When I was in school, I couldn't tell you how long homework took. I just never did it at all, yet I still aced every test. Reason I never did homework was because the lack of being challenged, I knew everything that was being taught. And somehow some of my teachers though I knew nothing that was being taught due to the lack of homework I completed, yet they couldn't explain me acing every test.
For me? Oh my... Everyone always says lucky to my school homework.
We barely get any, probably 5 minutes the most. Most of the time, no homework at all. No wonder I'm passing my classes. I just write a sentence or two, and I already got my B grade to an A. This is the 8th grade I am saying.
