Pokemon:

  • 3 Charizard EX
    4 Clamperl
    3 Huntail
    3 Vulpix
    2 Ninetales
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums:

  • 4 Professor Sycamore
    4 N
    3 Skyla
    3 Blacksmith
    2 Colress
    3 Scorched Earth
    3 Switch
    3 Battle Compressor
    2 Fiery Torch
    2 Professor's Letter
    2 VS Seeker
Energy:

  • 10 Fire Energy
    4 Water Energy

Strategy:

Use either stoke or battle compressor/blacksmith to power up charizard quickly and then switch to Huntail to powerful storm. Im considering cutting a battle compressor for an ultra ball and possibly a switch, but the deck actually seems to somewhat cut it without any ball trainers at all. i tend to sycamore into my huntails with this deck and in the event that it fails, i have shell protection to back me up until i can run into one. a trump card would definitely help with this deck, as i burn through my fire energy quickly using scorched earth ( Ninetales locks it down for you, so youll have it when you need it.). thoughts, opinions? i saw the ho-oh idea in expanded and tried to think of a way this might work in standard, and this is what i came up with. any help is much appreciated =)

RE: Hot Springs (Charizard EX/Huntail)

No water energy needed.

replace skylas with computer search and a teammates.
1 switch and 1 escape rope, since retreating is also a form of energy discarding. replace switch with 1 ultra ball.

run a 2 - 2 vulpix ninetales.

Try replacing vulpix with either a mewtwo or reshiram/kyurem

10 fire and maybe 4 double colorless? It enhances literally all your attacking options.
I'd change a colress for a lysandre also.

Where are you getting the "no water" notion from? Huntail needs a water energy to use Powerful Storm; the whole strategy of the deck.

you are right, it was 5 AM so I apologize for that, thought it was colorless.

Really enjoyed the deck. I plan to test it. Anyone else you suggestions for the list?
