How can i protect my prerelease cards?

Yeah but the thing is once the pre releases are over you will never be able to get a pre release version of those cards again unless you get really lucky and know someone that has easy access to them. Like someone that works at PUSA for instance. I would never trade any of these because once they are gone they are gone. The are strictly for collecting only. If I were you I would hang on to them. In 20 years they will be worth a lot more than what they are worth now. Some of my cards meaning regular cards I have had for 13 years now and some of them I am finding out are just now starting to become very rare like the Base Jungle and Fossil set cards which you might not have been around when they first came out I don't know though so yeah hang on to these cards XD.:) This is going to be a good set and you will always remember how much fun you had when you went to the pre release XD.:)

There is some good advice there, thanks! Hopefully the value of these prerelease Promo cards increases as well :p.

It seems like anything from the 1999-2001-ish era is highly collectible!

Yeah they are. Any promo from that era is worth a lot. The Southern Islands promo 18 card set is worth a lot too but not sure how much but I bought the entire set at my Fred Meyer store about 5 years ago. Fred Meyer is a Washington Oregon west coast store that is similar to Wal Mart that sells the cards and sometimes if you are lucky you can find the older sets there but rarely though. Anyway yeah. The movie promos are worth a lot too. I have all but the movie 2000 promo. Hang on to your cards. If you have any sealed boxes from you pre releases don't open them. They will be worth even more in later years.:)
