I am currently playing Plasma, but I am working on a secret counter deck. I can basically take on any other decks and completely destroy VirGen, but I just can not figure out the best way to counter Plasma.
How do you counter Plasma?

Well... For Kyurem you can use either Drifblim DRX/Drifblim PLB (they're both good), Enhanced Hammer or Cobalion EX, as Kyurem generally uses lots of Special Energy. For Deoxys you could use Garbodor (takes away the ability) or Espeon PLF (1 psychic energy and hits for 80 to benched Deoxys). For Thundurus you can use Sawk PLB (hits for 100 for 1 colorless energy). And Haxorus PLB pretty much wrecks all of them (just look at the card... THE Plasma Killer.)
I mainly just have kyurem problems, is Cobalion enough because kyurem can ohko

I am planning on running atleast 2 mirror, so I'll try to bump it up if I can fit them in
Gothitelle (if it's still legal idk) with a Silver Mirror would wreck 
Ironically, a Plasma deck with 4 Silver Mirror would counter it well. Use your own Kyurem to deal massive damage, and the opponent can do nothing to stop it.
Togekiss with a silver mirror instantly beats plasma decks, if I'm not mistaken, as they cannot get rid of the silver mirror, nor can they hit through it.
If the other things on your bench are non-EX's with Silver Mirrors then I guess it could be. But I would like to point out that powering up a Keldeo-EX (which most people play now) could easily be the answer.... especially if your ACE-SPEC is Scramble Switch.OblivionDvdr said:
Well, if there's any one deck you should have no trouble finding counters to, it's Plasma. A 3-2/1 Drifblim line gives it a lot of trouble, especially when combined with other good attackers, Enhanced Hammer, or Silver Mirror. Also, Togekiss, Zebstrika, or Dragonite with a Silver Mirror attached will slowly but steadily destroy a Plasma deck without any non-Plasma attackers as long as you don't overbench or deck yourself. Sometimes even a couple Enhanced Hammer can be enough to swing the matchup if your other attackers are good enough. Sawk can be okay as well depending on what other cards you're using but it's not as strong as the above cards.

). Also how does that make it a Plasma Deck? Plasma is defined by being a toolbox that always runs Deoxys and Thundurus and Kyurem is generally in there too. VirGen is another thing as you generally don't run Deoxys. Plus the setup is way different, Plasma is more rush and this needs set up (also why are you attacking with Virizion? It's a waste of time, support only). As for the actual topic, Plasma is crazy easy to counter. Slap some Silver Mirrors in your deck and problems just accumulate for the poor Plasma player. Suicune with this pretty much tanks the whole deck as it never really uses any non-EX/Plasma attackers, if they do, Terrakion comes back in and slaps your opponent in the face with Retaliate. Stuff like Enhanced Hammer just applies pressure and is easily teched into almost any deck, plus it gives quite a few decks some problems with their set up speed. Garbodor/Darkrai can be a counter to a certain extent but Garbodor never actually hurts Plasma too much. Cobalion-EX isn't that good against Plasma as it is slower than Kyurem and can be slowly taken down by something else.
I had an idea for an Anti-Meta/Plasma Deck featuring Drifblim DE/PLB, Sableye, Garbodor, and Mewtwo EX.
- Sableye to Junk Hunt Lasers, Catchers, Scrappers, Hammers, or your own Tools for Garbodor.
- Garbodor to shut down enemy Abilities like Power Connect, Overflow, Verdant Wind, Deluge, Red Signal, etc.
- Drifblim PLB to discard Special Energies, on top of your Enhanced Hammer's discards, as well as being able to OHKO a Catchered Deoxys w/ a Bangle.
- Drifblim DE to OHKO once you've discarded a significant amount of Special Energy. Enemy Lugia/G-Boosters also work against them.
- Mewtwo EX to be your main attacker, especially if the opponent isn't a TDK or doesn't run too many Special Energies (ViriGen, just 4 Plasma Energy.) And since Garbodor, if/when you have him up/running, would negate Drifblim PLB's free attack, the Deck would run DCE which Mewtwo EX makes great use of.
