I say it the first way, but if the people I'm around say it the second way, I end up saying it the second way, too. Lol.

meh, I differ between Pok-e-mon and po-kay-mon, sometimes even po-key-mun O__o

It was derived from the term "Pocket monsters"
I say it as - Pokemon - Poke-mon - Pokaymon
Without putting emphasis on the vowel or constinent, you end up with
Pok
Emphisising the o to make an OW sound, not like being hurt or anything.

Using the E to correct itself you can make it into and a
mon
Like the jamacians saying man.

So it like before - Pok - Ay- mon, Pok - E - mon, pokemon
