What kinda merchandise do you use for your collection (storage/display) and for playing (playmats, special coins/die)?

I use this container for Energy, Trainers, extra card sleeves, and for the time being, packs of useless pokemon for trade (mostly extra basics that can't fit in my binder). Mario Coin Tin for damage counters, dice and burn/poison counters. Mario 1-UP Tin for coins. Then the two deck boxes.

Then I have Legendary Trio card sleeves for main deck. Used to have Rotom sleeves, but think I traded them for these.

So when I play I basically hide box, take out tins and deck boxes from my bag, and unprofessionally dump everything on the table, because I think it's time for a new system.

Oh and I have a giant Collector's Album (think that's a brand?) binder for all other cards/collection. I had those small collectors binders sometimes found in promo boxes but they're pretty flimsey and didn't really put much on display other than promo cards.

I've started to consider using promo tins for something, but the window in them makes it a hazard, and while adding the plastic back to put a lucky card on display is nice, it makes storage that much difficult/odd in them.

RE: Merchandise

Well I use an ultra pro carry case to keep alot of my stuff in would be handy if I actually played the TCG lol.I keep my cards in binders, toploaders and cardboard boxes and lots of them

12 Binders
480 Toploaders
8 Cardboard boxes

RE: Merchandise

I use Penny Sleeves for all my Holos and then put my Ultra Rare in color-coded sleeves. Then these all go in binders. I only use Toploaders to ship stuff. As for how many Binders I use, I currently have 13, but that number is going to double as I reorganize my collection. I use tins to store my booster packs, and then I have a Zapdos deck box for my coins, and a big 3-row box for my extra energies and Playmats and Rulebooks.

RE: Merchandise

At the moment I'm using the same clear plastic box as v3rdict for my coins, damage counters, and two decks. I then have three binders for storage. One binder is used for energies/trainers and the other two are used for storing the Pokemon, depending on their type.

I'm planning on doing some e-window shopping to find a nice deck box, sleeves, and a few others things. Let me know if you find any cool items when creating your new system!

RE: Merchandise

I have a number of binders that I keep a good amount of my cards in: at least one of each card I own, and also all holos, reverse holos, and SR/UR cards. I have 3 full-size binders that I use for my English cards, and earlier foreign cards (1 for all pre-modified format cards (which I don't have as many of), one for the HS sets, and one of the BW sets), and smaller binders that I use for my BW Japanese sets, one binder each for BW3, BW4, DS, and BW5.

For bulk, I'm currently using tins. I also have a large plastic box with a nice lid that I use to store miscellaneous stuff: damage counters, tins, dice, deckboxes, extra sleeves and toploaders, etc. I decorated it with Pokémon stickers, so it looks nice and fancy. :D

I have a few different sets of sleeves that I use for decks. I currently have 3 decks made, a "competitive" deck and two decks made with my Base Set Dutch cards that I used to play with my fiancé. The decks themselves change from time to time, but I always like to have a (somewhat) competitive deck build and also two (less competitive, but evenly matched) decks for me and my fiance to play.

RE: Merchandise

I also use penny sleeves to sleeve holo's,promo's and reverse Holo's. I am hopefully getting some more binders in the summer I want to get a decent mattel finish one like an Ultra Pro Premium one they look nicer. My Korean card collection is almost at 1000 cards :). Every korean/japanese card I own are in seperate binders doubles are put in sleeves.

I must own like 20,000 penny sleeves.
I got 100 more toploaders today :)
150 more ultra pro coloured sleeves.

RE: Merchandise

I use penny sleeves for holos in my folder (Ultra Pro Pro Binder)
then some higher quality sleeves for cards with value
Ultra Pro sleeves for my deck (I didn't go to any HS PRs and won't buy the sleeves)
Black & White Deck Box (the PR one)
And when I carry them around, I use a tin appropriate to the deck I'm using
All in a backpack.

RE: Merchandise

Playmat: Great Ball
Sleeves: Skyla,Lightning Pokemon,Cynthia for bigger tournaments, blue dragonshield, random used ones for my binder.
Binder: Blue Monster binder
Storage: Boxes from the booster boxes or i just throw them away :p
Deckbox: Articuno,Hydreigon/Garchomp,Zoroark/Shiny legendary beasts

RE: Merchandise

Well, currently I have BW-on decks built w/Proxies. Here's what I use:
Playmat: Worlds 2011 Mat (Also have Professor Playmat, Ultra Ball Mat and Play! Pokemon States Mat that I haven't used for a while).
Dicebag: Croagunk Dice Bag/5 others that I rotate use with.
Sleeves: Japanese Keldeo Sleeves on Garchomp/Altaria, Japanese N sleeves on Hydreigon/Darkrai, and Japanese Victini Sleeves on Super Secret Rogue Deck that nobody else knows about.
Deckboxes: Japanese Keldeo Box with Garchomp/Altaria, Japanese Giratina Deckbox on Hydreigon/Darkrai, and Japanese Victini Deckbox on Super Secret Rogue Deck.
Trade Binders: Just bought new ones! 1x Green Monster Binder for Ultra Rares, 1x Orange Monster Binder for Holo Rares, and 1x Blue Monster Binder for noob bait.

I also have multiple other Monster Binders that hold my completed sets, and another one that holds my Japanese Holos/URs. My Prerelease Deckboxes are used to store my Meta foil TSS/Foil energy.

RE: Merchandise

So, I've been seeing a lot of monster binders...i found them on Troll and Bait but couldn't see a justifiable use for $33.

But then i couldn't see the inside of it. So i take it it's worth it?

Mudkip711 EDIT: They are really worth it IMO. The cards don't fall out and the binder doesn't break. I've had mine for 2 years and it looks brand new.

They are soooooo good. Make sure to put the cards in a sleeve before you put them in, too, for even better protection. Even then, you don't need to. ~Nigel

RE: Merchandise

I have the official POP Great Ball mat. I use it on and off with the Ultra Ball mat. I OWN a HGSS mat, but I hate it. Both of the mats I use are plain, they're just black with a ball in the middle, and in the top right corner it says "Pokemon Organized Play."

For sleeves I have pink Dragonshields. I sometimes use white. I also have the Rotom sleeves and sealed Keldeo sleeves, but I don't like to use them much, so the Keldeos are sealed :p

My binder's a "leather" Ultra Pro binder. Thinking of switching, I've used it for like two seasons now lol.

I have a lot of deckboxes. My boxes for random stuff are the Keldeo and Battle Frontier deckboxes. For my deck, I sometimes use the Rising Rivals box from Japan, but if I feel like it's more suited to the Battle Frontier one, I'll switch.

I have a dice bag with two official Pokemon dice.

The dice bag has Zorua and Zoroark on it.

I bring all of this to league in a North Face backpack...

RE: Merchandise

I don't know if this applies, because I'm just now buying this stuff online, (I didn't play that much earlier, so I didn't think about getting them for a while.) but here goes;

Red Fantasy flight deck box
Orange Player's choice sleeves ------\ Lovin' the
36 Chessex dice Vortex Orange ------/ orange
1 plain ol' binder with a clear sleeve in the front for putting in pictures and such

A bunch of coins from theme decks/blisters.
My favorite card (For artwork) will be in the display thingy for the deck box. It's the Flareon from Undaunted.

RE: Merchandise

I keep my cards and sleeves I'm not using in a binder, a shoebox, and a plastic box. (I'm very unprofessional) My deck is in sleeves in a deckbox, whether it be my Black & White one, my prerelease ones, or my plain color Ultra-Pro ones. My dice are in a plastic box which I got them in and on top of the dice I have my silver Unova Starter coin with foil kind of like the McDonald's foil, and I also have 2 Poison and Burn counters there as well, and they all fit neatly into my dice box. I have plain white mat, and all of my stuff is in my bag, which has all of my League pins on it.

RE: Merchandise

I recently updated my playing equipment!

+ Poke Ball Deck Box
+ Light Blue Ultra Pro Sleeves

I also purchased a cool Pikachu and Friends Large Japanese Dice Bag from Loser626 :D

RE: Merchandise

i have a clear pokemon card storage case with a zorua drawn on it from me that I decorated with tons of pokemon stickers. I keep my deck in a darkrai prerelease deck box ( i need nothing fancy.), my purple dice, my coins, and my markers in that. I keep all kinds of stuff with me including my extra zekrom card sleeves, a notebook, markers, extra dice, extra energies, trades, food, aand other crap in my hello kitty backpack that comes with a hood ^-^

RE: Merchandise

I recently obtained THE BEST dice bag for my dice for Pokémon gaming.

Do you put your holos in a penny sleeves and then in a 9 page sleeve? Is that best for holos?

Penny sleeves are simply sleeves that cost a penny a piece. Typically they're sold in packs of 100 for a dollar.

Since penny sleeves are so cheap, it doesn't really matter what brand you buy since they're going to be around the same quality. You can find them pretty easily in the trading card section of most big box retailers or card/comic shops, or you can order them online.

I have a ton! I just didn't know of the term.

Should i place my holos in them before placing them in the 9 card page sleeve?

If this is better for my holos, i'd like to know :)

Thanks
