Pokemon How has the anime affected the game?

Right then how do you think that the pokemon anime has affected the game?

I think it's affected the game, do you know ehen you're logging onto WiFi it comes up with Pickachu and Pichu at the botttom. I wonder, would it be Pickachu and Pichu if Ash didn't start off with Pickachu?

It has effected the game but in small ways, like what you said. But as for plot, I don't think so.

It has like you imagine Pokeomn to say there name but if there was no anime then people wouldn't imagine that. Beacuse in the game when you talk to pokemon they say something like "Pii Poicsdf"

Aside from Pikachu being the series mascot, it has only affected Yellow and GSC. Yellow was created to be based on the early anime, and GSC had Red lead with a LV. 81 Pikachu (the highest level non-battle tower or multiplayer pokemon you must battle until Platinum came out).

The only reason Ash started out with Pikachu was because it was already unanimously voted Japan's favorite Pokemon. >.>

The anime didn't really effect much, Pikachu was extremely popular already. Along with Clefairy, who was initially slated to be Ash's starter.

Was it O_0. But if the most liked poekmon in Japan was say Pinsir, would Pinsir be everywhere. Its kinda hard to imagine!

Its hard to imagine because it has not happened, but say like you said that Pinsir was the mascot then you might find it hard to believe that a Pikachu would be the mascot.

In theory, yes. But Pisir really has nothing about him to make him so loveable. The only reason Pikachu became a fan favorite is because he widely considered to be cute. Pinsir well.. is not.

Pikachu is popular here, too. I wouldn't see him [being Ash] have any other Pokemon like Pikachu.

A little I guess but nothing too noticable. Of course yellow was defenitely somthing off of the anime, but besides the trainers of the games resembling the anime characters, there really isn't much more than that. All the other similarities are actually the anime being influenced by the games because the game comes first.
