I know this is a huge NOOB question,:(and I feel sort of weird asking it but uhhhh can you have like 4 of one pokemon from a set and 4 of the same pokemon from another set?  like more then 4 of a certain pokemon when they're not ex.  Please help.  If you still don't get what I'm asking here's a picture of it.

4 lunatone dx
4 lunatone lm

or any combination that goes over 4 cards.  Please help.:)

You can only have 4 of a certain card in your deck even if it came in a different set.

Hope it helps

You can have 4 of the same card's Name.

So technically you are Allowed to have a deck with:

4 Electabuzz
4 Electabuzz ex
4 Lt. Surge's Electabuzz

That's legal since they're all different card names. It doesnt always have to be the same pokemon...

Ahh to bad, 'cause I was going to make a deck with 4 lunatones/solrock from lm and 4 from dx. too bad, guess i'll just have to use 4 lunatones and solrocks instead of 8. thanks for the help.

it was in the rulebook.
but don't forget that you can have 4 ex version of a card and 4 norm.
ie 4 mew ex 4 mew in one deck.

can u imagine the mayhem if you had 8 or 16 of the same pokemon? u could have a solrock do like 160 damage.
