How much do you spend on Pokemon cards(per set that is)?
I spend about $30 per set, but I have got one Booster Box and that was for Platinum.

$50,and that is very little since a booster costs $10 and a Prerelease $40.

Well now I'm going to Platinum prerelease (30 euros) and after the games I will buy 10-12 more boosters (40-48 euros).

About 130 euros or more.

I've spent too much to recall over my first year of Pokemon (HP-MD format). I usually spend $50 on a pre-release (two flights), and buy some cards from each set that I need ($30), buy some bossters here and there ($30), and sometimes buy a box of cards ($100). So I spend anywhere from 100-200 dollars on a set. (Wow, look at all the money I've been wasting the past year)

like 5$... unless you count the money my dad/mom pays for pre's. then it's about 50$ per set, sometimes less.

You're lucky; my parents don't buy any Pokemon cards for me.

Well....probably around 80$, if I went to the prerelease, because I bought around 20 SF packs including the prerelease and already 11 PT packs including the prerelease.

Let's see, maybe a couple Prereleases, very few packs, and booster boxes. It's no suprise that this is an expensive hobby.

dmaster out.

1 PR (25)
2 Drafts (50)
5 Packs (15)

So that totals 90 dollars, but I just use the money that I get from my job to pay for it.

On a per set basis roughly 200 dollars once converted. That covers two booster boxes, shipping, and usually promotional stuff from them too. Pretty much the same for either English or Japanese.

Not a penny. I have made a few deals that allow me to get boosterboxes. Although sometimes I do buy a Blister Pack to get the promo to go with them if they are worth it (I might go get the PorygonZ one)

Do include shipping and the slight risk with that, and the price is suddenly higher.
That, and not everyone is allowed to buy stuff from the internet.

I usually go to the prerelease, and maybe draft, which leaves me with about 16 packs, which cost about $50. I get most of my cards from my friend, who buys boxes a lot, and he practically gives me the cards. Then I spend about another $30-$50 on eBay to get the essential cards I missed for my deck.

Basically only 1 Prerelease every set, and 1 tournament every tournament season (1 BR, 1 CC, 1 SC and 1 Nats.) Sometimes more if I can afford it, and maybe I can get a BET box. Oh well, it's fine by me either way. I can get the cards I need for decks one way or another.
