How to be happy

You are in a home. You have meals. A family. You live in a free country. You don't live in a war zone. You don't go to sleep hungry every night. You have an education. You have a computer and internet. Your're not risking your life eveyday. Why are you depressed? You have a great life. Many poor, unlucky souls woul do anything to have even a fraction of your life. Be glad that you have a good life and snap out of it.

Most of the time, we become depressed because we get fed up with our lives. So I suggest trying out new things, meeting new people, etc. If that isn't the cause, then it pays to be busy anyway so you have activities to take your mind off the things that are bothering you.

Also shut up d-master *slap*
 
If you are stressed relax your mind and resolve whatever is stressing your mind otherwise it will keep happening every day and nite. Also play some video games or something you enjoy to do, also dmaster, I know you are trying to imply something inaproriate, which isnt really smart to post on a forums populated by many children :p

Don't you think if I cared, I wouldn't have posted. I don't care about the children. :F They'll learn in a few years anyway.

Well, I find it to be gross and well for people who cant get girl friends no offence anyone. Seriously this isnt anyway to get rid of stress it is a vulgur pleasure. Going out with real girls FTW :p
 
He DID say that isn't what he was talking about. *unslaps D Master, then, as soon as he becomes happy he was unslapped....Slaps him around a bit with a wet trout, gives him a cigar, and walks away.

I've had an upsetting few days, but it's getting a little better. My girlfriend is getting out of school today, but is going out of town errr Friday. She'll be back Monday though and I'll get to see her.

I don't have a girlfriend but the girl I like likes me back so I'll ask her out sometime...

None of you guys will understand if I tell you...

What is the point of life? Why should I even live anymore??

urm why would a knife be your best friend??? They only cause harm and then there really is no point if you self harm

I have been depressed a lot of times. This is how I get out of depressions.
(All tips are in random order)

1. Analyze why you are unhappy. Is there something you can do or is it beyond your control. Possessing lots of knowledge of yourself helps here.

2. If it's beyond your control, try to find things to do for yourself that you like while trying to let it slide. I know it's unspeakably hard in some situations, but it's actually THE thing to do when it's (whatever it may be) beyond your control.

3. Ignore people who tell you what your blessings are. The depression is yours. They don't know what you experience because they are not you and you are worried about other things then them like the fighting the depression.

4. Mantras. It might be dull, stupid and floaty, but repeating stuff changes you thinking pattern. (This is a big problem in society as this is how most people 'attract' problems). Saying things repeatedly like: "My time will come" can have a good effect over long periods of time.

5. Don't expect things to change with the snap of a Finger! That's actually a wrong thing to think. It's what kept me in most depression: My impatience.

My frands always cheer me up, I went through depression this year for know reason, but it made it worse focusing on the things that I thought my life was screwed. AND CUTTING YOURSELF DOESN"T HELP AT ALL
 
^^Not clear enough. There is always something that makes you depressed unless you have a disorder or malfunction in your brain.
 
I have no purpose (YET) in life, yet I am feeling perfectly okay as I am trying to find ways to improve the quality of my life.
