If you know anything about playing against Flareados, you know that even if they get out a Flareon EX you still have a good chance. Take out the Flareon, that's 2 prizes and most likely 1/3 of their Flareons are gone since they'll most likely have a tech Eeveelution.m0nster1nc said:More like KO'ing their Eevees. By the time Flareon is out you're a goner.
TYranitarFReak said:well, GL and WP helps a bit, but the problem is that they hit u very fast,if u cant get them out by T2 then ur almost doomed
here's an interesting strategy (not for competitive play, juz to beat flariados):
* play regi-s from HP, they WONT be affected byspecial conditions
* play all sorts of fossils (active) , and quickly set up a water pokmon with atk at least 60 and attach WP + water to it, since they cant play power to get 70 on fossil, they'll use flareon , when the flary comes out, u comes out and atk them for weakness, voila! get 2 prize
well, u really need good coin flipings to win with nomal decks

Cursed Stones (removes full flame, puts damage counters on pokepowers)
windstorms to own full flame
shiftry ex to own flareon ex and his poke power
water pokemon to ko flareon fast
holon WP or GL energies
just take a look at the set lists, if anything build an anti flariados deck. my past decks would not lose to flariados deck.
p.s. dragonites rock
But seriously ENOUGH dispute on Shiftry vs Flareados...TYranitarFReak said:circusweb said:There are many ways.

CS : they oftenly have counter stadiums! and dont forget they have SSU..sad
They don't always get heads you know. And of course they have counter stadiums.
windstorm: how much deck could fit this in?
Actually quite a few. A LOT of decks will be using this.
shiftry ex : they will OHKO shiftry ex! bb for u
You just OHKO them right back. One Slicing Blade should will take care of Ariados.
water pokemons : flareaon seldom comes out!
I have nothing really to say here...
GL/ WP : ER2 !, and u wont be fast enough to find it(plus attaching)
How are you sure they'll have the ER2 to get your GL/WP away. And you say you won't be fast enough to get it. How will they be fast enough to get their ER2?

the one thing that makes flariados so good is that it only needs 1 energy for 70, so ariados KOs 1st shiftry, 2nd shiftry KOs back, 2nd ariados KOs right back with 1 energy (which is fast), so u would actually have nothing much left

Are you really sure that we're still going to be Asleep when you attack, or even Poisoined for that matter. Free Retreat, remember that.

Arcanine out.
Most likely it does. Just if Shiftry gets set up, then it'd be a sort of even match IMO. But most likely not, so yes it does.Woody said:so I'm guessing flariados has the upper hand against shiftry? bcuz thats what it sounds like.
