How to get someone into the game

I have a 10 yr. old brother, he's great at the game (has an invite to worlds) and he loves playing at tourneys, but the problem that I'm finding is that we live in an area where there's nobody else that plays for at least an hour's drive away, so we always playtest either online or against each other, and my bro is getting extremely bored with that. He never wants to playtest and he expects me to just give him an amazing deck to play with, but when he doesn't do amazing with it because he doesn't know the deck at all he says i didn't make the deck right. Have any of you had this problem? How can i get him excited for worlds and playtesting decks? Thanks!

Make him a better deck.

Well you must be doing something right if he has an invite. If he loves playing at tourneys then why isn't he excited for Worlds? That's the second biggest tournament. He doesn't need to playtest 24/7, he just has to playtest enough until he gets to the point where he is comfortable with the deck. You should build different decks that he can playtest against so he knows how the different decks will work.

I don't want him to playtest 24/7, but he hasn't played a single game since nats. It's less than 3 weeks until worlds and he still has no idea what deck he wants to play.

Have you tried one of these?
Redshark
PlayTCG
Apprentice

IMO, RS is the best program to use, and you will have no problem finding a game. PlayTCG is decent, but harder to use. The advantage is that you get to see the cards. Apprentice is a MTG program, but there are patches out there for Pokemon. I would not recommend it, but some people prefer it.

EDIT ~4000th POST~

If you are wondering how to teach other people Pokemon and get them interested in it, I don't know.

PlayTCG is really good for online Playtesting.

Also, maybe he'll be more into it if he builds his own decks.

Your brother wants you to make him a deck to win with?

Give him something crap.

Illumise/Volbeatdown.

hit him harder
Try to get a league going? Or organize one yourself if you're old enough? Idk, that's more long term.
