The Abominable Dr. Faust

He's a genious director, a magnificent artist, a unique visionary, and the ultimate storyteller.  Hayao Miyazaki is one of the greatest people in the movie making bussiness and I absolutely love his work.  He's made so many films, and some of my favourites are Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away.

What else do you guys like?

Yes! I like lots of them. Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away, Nausicaa, Howls Moving Castle, and Princess Mononoke are my favorites.:D

princess monenoke was great. it had amazing artwork, and it was really thrilling. violent but good:)

I regret not taking the time to watch some Miyazaki while Cartoon Network was airing a special marathon-ish type thing ("A Month Of Miyazaki") last year.

Eh, it's ok.  You can probably find a few at BlockBuster.  Don't forget YouTube, either. ^_^  But anyway, Princess Mononoke was really good.  It was said that that was Miyazaki's most violent film.

Also, there's a novel on Howl's Moving Castle that was written before the movie was released.  It was an American novel, not Japanese.

In the book, the castle flew; it didn't walk and it wasn't mechanical.  But then again, Miyazaki had a way of fitting that into his films.  He has a signiture way of putting the mechanical and the unexpected together.  It's his little trademark-thing.
