Hello every one and welcome to yet another deck idea for 2015. This time we are combining an ability and an attack in combo to perform a 1x Energy attack for possible total of 170 damage!

Hyper Hexed Flame for 2015

Frist and foremost! I want to give credit to the comunity of PokemonBeach and the fallowing preselected trainers who helped in the making of this deck. Bowlerdude04 ,Pipotchi, hexogen thank you soo much!!

The build was orignally for Conkeldurr's (XY 67) Wake-Up Slap, but dew to up coming rotation and better cards being released I have edited and updated the entire thread.
The deck idea is very simple, as usual we want to simplify our stradegy and optimize the best results. So we start with quickly setting up our main pokemon which are Malamar-EX (Phantom Forces 58) and Ninetales (Dragons Exalted 19 / BW Black Star Promo). We apply alot of good draw and search cards to gather all our needed cards. So frist we'd want to evolve Vulpix into Ninetalesand get your free Pokemon Catcher effect. Then attach a fire energy to Malamar-EX to sedate our opponates active pokemon and then use Energy Switch and target Ninetales to finally attack.

We have different damage applicators in this deck that allows us a few OHKO stradegies. Hypnotoxic Laser stacks 2x status effects, the frist one is a unconditional effect and applies posion the second requires a flip and if you get a heads' then your opponents active pokemon is also asleep. This stacks our Ninetales Hexed Flame effect for 100 damage plus its base damage of 20 for a total of 120 and then an additional 10 more from the posion status. On top of that we use other damage boosting cards like Muscle Band, Virbank City Gym, and Silver Bangle.

Pokemon:11
4x Vulpix (Legendary Treasures 20)
4x Ninetales (Dragons Exalted 19 / BW Black Star Promo)
3x Malamar-EX (Phantom Forces 58)
1x Jirachi EX

Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums:38
3x Bicycle
2x Skyla
2x Switch
2x Energy Switch
2x Professor's Letter
3x Hypnotoxic Laser
3x Ultra Ball
2x Silver Bangle
2x Muscle Band
2x VS Seeker
1x Computer Search
1x Target Whistle
1x Energy Retrieval
2x Startling Megaphone

4x N
4x Professor Sycamore
1x Shuana
1x Colress
1x Lysandre

3x Virbank City Gym

Energy:6
5x Fire Energy
2x Dark Energy (Basic)

As always I hope you enjoy this deck idea if you'd like to share your own idea on how to improve the build please make sure to drop a comment! :)

Will be updating this thread periodically

RE: Hyper Wake-Up Slap for 2015 (Conkeldurr / Malamar EX)

Hi,

What do you think about adding in some energy switch, so the Energy you attach to Malamar is not "wasted" this turn. I know Malamar could hit pretty hard but if you dont want to rely on the flips, i think it would be a better road to go with a save wake up slap...

RE: Hyper Wake-Up Slap for 2015 (Conkeldurr / Malamar EX)

You have a lot of waste cards I think. You could remove pancham, pangoro, 2 malamar, 4 maintenance and a couple of darkness energy and revolve the deck more around conkeldurr- I think that'd probably make a bit more sense since otherwise you might struggle to get your conkeldurrs out at all. Muscle band/silver bangle seems like it should be used here, along with hypnolaser: wake up slap = 90, + 30 from bangle = 120, + 20 from strong energy = 140, + 20 from fighting stadium = 160, + 10 from poison = 170 (enough to knock out a few key EXs) Plus hypnolaser can save you occasionally from having to attach an energy to malamar and therefore be able to power up another conk.

If you removed those 12 cards i suggested you would have enough for 3 bangles, 1 muscle band, 2 hypnolaser, 1 strong energy, 2 fighting energy, and a computer search. I'd also swap the evosodas for another conk and gurdurr, and consider droppping a VS Seeker for a lysandre. Your supporter line is quite frail and rollerskates wont always get the job done- id advise bicycle over rollerskates since its more reliable, as well as cutting into the number of bicycle and shauna to give some more supporters such as 1 colress, and at least 1 lysandre. Evosoda is pretty pointless when korrina can grab a rare candy plus stage 2. Alternatively, add a Jirachi EX into the deck because once you can grab an ultra ball you can get a korrina, and then that can turn into a VS Seeker or bicycle for you in order to hopefully keep the cards flowing

But its a fun deck idea. Hopefully these suggestions are helpful!

Wake Up Slap removes Special Conditions, so there is no extra 10 from poison.

By "for 2015" do you mean for next rotation? Because the strategy here is fine, but Ninetales DRX / BW66 reprint completely outclasses Conkeldurr. With Malamar, lasers, Muscle Band and Virbank you get 20 + 100 + 20 + 30 = 170, you can use Bangles instead of Muscle Bands to get to 180, it's a Stage 1 instead of a Stage 2, you don't need to use Special Energies to boost your damage so you don't care about Aegislash, Enhanced Hammer, etc... and you have a catcher effect whenever you evolve into Ninetales. If you're planning for an XY-on rotation that is obviously not a possibility, but most of 2015 will be played with the current rotation where Ninetales will be legal.

RE: Hyper Wake-Up Slap for 2015 (Conkeldurr / Malamar EX)

I have done what you said, your tips and advice helped out tremendously. The deck looks alot more consistent now. Theres only one problem, the deck might not be able to be played through out 2015 :(

bowlerdude04

Wow, I was taking a look at that Ninetales (Dragons Exalted 19) and its really nice! You said that the promo BW-P will be legal through out 2015. But were do I find a Vulpix that is legal??

I will be converting the thread and deck into a Ninetales build sense only the Pokemon will change but the stradegy and deck idea are the same. The build will include upgrades to the stradegy to better the already existing deck idea.

There are soo many more cards I can use for a fire and dark variant, but frist whats the legal Vuplix?

When does LT rotate? I'd like to know sense most the decks I'll be playing are for at least 1 year.

It will still be legal next season. (Assuming 4 sets are going to rotate again.)

RE: Hyper Hexed Flame (Under Construction)

I like this idea. Though, since you rely on Special Conditions so heavily, I would say 1 more Hypnotoxic Laser is a good idea. Add 1 more VS Seeker as well, since there is always the chance that it could end up Prized. DO NOT USE FIERY TORCH!! With only 3 Fire Energy in the deck, you will rarely be able to use it and still have enough Energy for Ninetales.

Yeah I noticed that, lol but its soo good! I took it out, I have 4 slots open though I'm not sure what to put in for does 4 slots I was thinking may be 4x pokemon?? I'm not sure what do you guys think??

RE: Hyper Hexed Flame (Under Construction)

+2 Fire
+1 Colress
+1 Lysandre (To kill Garbodors because you can't use Ninetails' ability to bring it out.)

I want to apply the cards, but some how I feel that I should apply more Pokemon. Or is the line up good enough?

To avoid some mulligans, I suggest these changes.
-3 Roller Skates

+1 Dedenne (counter Yveltal EX)
+1 Mr. Mime (Prevent damage on benched Pokemon. Ninetails are pretty frail already.)
+1 Trick Coin (I suggest this over Fliptini because it is already bad enough when you face Garbodor so it wouldn't be ideal to have another Poke with an ability. This gives Malamar EX the option to attack. It is always nice to have a back up plan.)

-1 energy switch
-3 rollerskates
-1 hypnolaser
-2 shauna
-1 lysandres trump card
-1 dark energy
= 9 extra cards (+ 4 cards which were free anyway = 13 cards)

So I would get rid of these cards because they feel like luxury when you dont have the bare bones of the deck yet.
I think the deck needs:

+4 N
+2 fire energy
+1 energy retrieval
+1 lysandre
+2 startling megaphone
+2 switch
+1 Jirachi EX

These are the cards I think the deck needs- 4 N is just staple in basically everything, so I really advise it. +2 fire energy and an energy retrieval will help you deal with your very low energy counts. Lysandre is basically essential in the deck, you have to have a way to get wobbuffet out of the active and put garbodor in the active, both ways of returning your abilities to you. 2 startling megaphone and 2 switch are also important and basically staple in every deck- removing tools is essential to beat garbodor and also will mean the difference between 2hkos and ohkos often. 1 jirachi EX would be good like I said before- any ultra ball can turn into it and then thats a free supporter. Jirachi EX + 2 VS Seeker + a nice mix of supporters is a nice way to have a solid deck with enough draw support. Just wondering, did you want shaunas because you cant get hold of Ns or was there another reason? N seems like it doesnt contradict your deck so I was wondering why you chose against it.

Other options for you:
-1 professor's letter
--1 target whistle

+2 skyla

This MAY be something to consider- your deck relies quite a lot on item cards- its important to get both virbank and a laser when you need it, as well as energy switch when you need it, and same with silver bangle. It might be helpful for you to get just a couple skylas into the deck because I can see situations where they will help you out. Being able to skyla for professor's letter is also really helpful (even if it means cutting the other professors letter) because it means you have more ways to hit energy with the deck when you need it. I think this is more up in the air though because I understand why you might want to use target whistle and 2 prof letter in the deck, and I wouldnt say either choice is necessarily worse. Let us know how the deck goes :)

HUGE HELP! The Jirachi EX opens up alot of possible set ups through out the entire game. The thing about N is I didn´t really understand how or when to use it. It just seemed soo situational to me. I thought Shauna was just more reliable. I do like N more at a competitive level and have applied them into the deck. Also Skyla.....is tooo good! I almost want to play 3x. Do you think this deck can be competitive enough for proffetional play? After I modified the deck it runs better, faster, it almost feels auto pilot.
