well, as the title says, i have a problem at league.
some people there don't want to play me anymore, and when i ask for a reason they say they will lose anyways.
i understand that, nobody likes to lose, but they do play lou, in which they have a really small chance of winning, as he is masters.

if i was a bad loser, or say mean things when i win, okay, but i am not a bad loser, and i don't say mean things at all.

do you know any way of getting around this problem, and playing other people really isn't an option, as there are only like 5 players average at our league (school times suck) and 3 of them won't play me.

There is nothing you can do about it then trying to bribe them into playing you. I have the same problem so yeah.... =/

Yeah, me too. Suggestion: Play a theme deck. They'll win every time. ;o However, it doesn't work if you're a sore loser like me. :F

dmaster out.

My guess is you're doing something (maybe bragging about how good you are or being a sore winner) if they'll play Lou and not you (especially because I'm sure Lou beats them far more often than you).

Play the league leader. They will be mature about it.

I would be that league leader.

Dennis doesnt play you because he's dennis.
Julius does play anyone, so thats no problem.
The tall guy (forgot his name) will play you too.
Kurt will play you as well.

With that, we got the 4 regulars covered. Have a talk to me about it next time at league and we'll sort this out.

who in god's name is julius xD
do you mean the guy whos going to the same school you did?
or is that "the tall guy"
because i'm pretty sure hes guido, and he stopped playing me friday
then you have roel, who isn't coming anymore, and his little brother, dito.

so thats dennis and guido, which is 2.
and all little kids, which i count as 1, as i seriously don't mind playing against all of their decks at once.

@ dmaster
that wouldn't work, as my goal of playing there is learning to know my decks inside out. and i don't think thats needed with a theme deck.

@ chefz
as you can see in lou's post, there are some who do play, but thats maybe 4 of them, and i would like to test against as many decks as possible, as the deckstile of everyone is different.
lou mostly plays the same deck, as he just chooses his deck from the beginning and tests with it, so after one day, thats enough for until the next set
SA667 almost almays plays different decks, so thats never a problem.
and guido always plays scizor xD

Our league leader started giving double points for playing me, because I went on a 2 or 3 month winning spree. No one would play me, even though I was helping people with their decks and even built a new deck. See if Lou will give double points to those that play you, and I bet you'll see plenty of action.

Lolwut?
I've played 4 different decks at league...since the release of RR alone. Iunno...

Maybe you should stop trading for all the good cards so the other people can actually build a competitive deck. xD
Nah, just kidding. But hey, not everybody can afford it to build multiple decks and if only one of the decks has bad matchups against you, they'll be discouraged. As for me, I never had this problem, even back when I only had enough cards for 1 deck (Nidoqueen d <33) so I don't really know, but...
A possible solution is to trade decks with your opponent before the match. They'll be able to play with cards they can't get, and you'll be able to see how your deck is faring from the other side of the table. Should be interesting. Otherwise, I wouldn't know.

Anna knows who is a new player and who aren't. She always has a theme deck at league to play with against newer player, and her normal decks against good players (mostly Team Torchic though). Since Lou is the League leader, I would guess he does something like this also. If not, heres an idea Lou ;).

You should just have lived in Assen :p. Groningen tends to have alot of juniors. Either way, there are always enough "good" players to play with. In Groningen you have Mees, Rinne, Douwe and some other seniors who are quite good, and in Assen you have Olaf, David, sometimes Mees and a few others most people wouldn't know because they are senior. Both also have Anna. But since you don't, you just have to find some good players who do want to battle you. I myself don't really enjoy an easy battle, or atleast not at league.
If I were you, I would just sort it out with Lou. Maybe he can get you people to play against.

And SA667, I love Nidoqueen d also :D. Are you coming to Nationals?

i stated it wrong, i ment that you only have one a week, which isn't a problem, but sometimes your the only competition around.

remember the dialga G X, i could have kept it, but i traded it to you, i'm not THAT selfish, i think :p

but i hate to play easy decks, and when playing against someone like dennis, or guido... they don't even know how their own deck works, and guido plays scizor!!!
and seeing it work from the other side of the table is learnfull, but then the opponent should know how it works.

i like utrecht better, as i bet your league there isn't a 15 minute bike ride like mine here is :/
and i wouldn't like them to know my deck, just in case.
then maybe anna brings a theme deck, as i stated earlier, i wanted to have practise for nats, and a fun time playing xD.

I have the same problem with one kid. Just cause I got a great start doesn't mean that you shouldn't want to play me. He then hated me because I am good.

But especialy Juniors are like that generally. Most of them play 'for fun' remember? But yes, it's annoying if you want need a 'victim' to test your competitive deck on. >_>

Play fun decks. I always play decks like Shaymin or Scizor (but I do still usually go X-0...).

Thats why when playing Juniors I do play my strong decks, but always give them chances to win. Keeping that Kingdra in my hand, not attaching energy to that Gardevoir, the works. Makes them feel better.
Wassily, we don't have a huge player base in Utrecht. Which is a shame, for I too would like some more testing competition. But c'est la vie, deal with what you got.

At my old leage I never had this problem (Probolly cuz that was when I sucked lol)

It closed, then I got good, and now none of my friends wanna play me, I ask my bro and he says no, I ask my GF she says not right now.

And now I don't have a card shop up here so I NEVER get to play. (I live 8,000 feet in the air so I don't have many options >_>)

I want to know how to fix it too, alot of ppl say play a crap deck and let them win sometimes, but they never play me so I can't X.X
