Welcome to my art thread. In this thread you will be seeing different style of banners and will be updating this thread often. I am still a beginner at the whole banner making, but will hopefully improve.

Pretty good stuff there.. But the blending could be better on all three.. Size is slightly too wide, leaving lots of empty spaces.. Although I'm not good at using texts, the text you used doesn't really suit the sigs.. Borders looks good though.. KIU.. =)
 
Yeah after making the banner I thought that it was a bit too wide. I wanted to make the next one smaller, but then decided to keep it the same because it wouldn't really look nice if I had a banner with different sizes. I like to keep the banners the same size, but I might make it smaller since these seem a bit too wide. I don't quite like the fonts either.... I tried to find one that suited the banners nicely but couldn't find any. I might download some and add them to the next banners.
 
If you want to keep the banner size same, you could make the render larger to cover the empty space.. but not too large..
 
I didn't want to make the render too big since it wouldn't look too good, but I guess I could make the Pokemon a bit larger next time to cover the empty spaces a bit.

The words on the banner I am not a big fan of either.... I am trying to find new fonts to make it matching to the overall banner, but can't seem to find many. I am also planning to make the banners smaller since there is a lot of empty space present in the banner.
 
Yeah- the text font is just eh. I suggest you browse around on a site like dafont.com for some neat fonts. At the same time, don't make the text font so that it's too busy and/or distracting.
 
Thanks for the information ST17 I will try to find more matching fonts for the next banner since that is one of the main problems.
 
I'd really suggest not forcing fonts onto a banner unless absolutely necessary. Reason being you guys looooove to spam c4d visuals onto the backdrops and fonts tend to not go well with a background that isn't plain and simple.
