BW/BW2 If certain places can be accessed in certain months, can you become stuck?

I'm guseeing maybe they'll be some extras only accessible in certain seasons, but nothing important. Maybe some post-nat dex pokemon and items, but nothing important

Rareish pokemon.
Say there is like a river or stream that freezes over and you skate across to find an awesome pokemon :D

Good idea! When it's winter u can't fish and u walk on the water! and when u are walking on it (it's like a cave) u find wild pokemon!

I never thought of this... o . o But I think that with every seasonal area there is always multiple one way ledge jumpy thingamabobers that you could use!

im glad i thought of it

Okay, here's what I think.

- You are playing the game. It is winter.
- You climb the snowdrift to the high area. You save while up there. You turn off game.
- You turn on game.
- It is a new month, the season should change to spring now.

- It is STILL winter. It will continue to be winter until you enter and exit a building/cave/enclosed area.
- You climb down snowdrift and enter a building.
- You exit. Spring has arrived!

Apply same principles to other seasonal overworld changes.

or: you climb up the snowdrift, save, turn it off. then come back and its changed seasons to spirng and the snowdrift melted. underneath the snowdrift there is a ledge. so u jump off the ledge and ur home free

I would tend to agree with that idea, but unfortunately we do have proof that ledges don't exist under the snowdrift.

You can clearly see the ground is completely clear outside of winter.

There could be some "magic" for the game to let you get out of the ledge area. You could also change the date on the DS to make it winter again and leave.

It okay swimfastray, I understand your humor. Please don't wage war on my country.

And getting stuck on a ledge because the seasons change would be AWESOME! :D Maybe, if it's winter when you start the game, you won't even be able to leave your house because you're snowed in. It would make playing Pokemon a much more realistic experience.

playing pokemon will never be a realistic experience
nothing about the games is realistic
10yrolds walking around with magical monsters in their balls. fighting evil teams with bowlcuts who want to destroy the universe and make a new one(and expect to live). pokemon not dying after getting struck by lightning or hit with a flamethrower.
in the real world the evil team would just pull out a gun and shoot you instead of battling with monsters and after being defeated in a monster battle they cant do what they were doing anymore

Well, you could keep beta fish in small capsules. And they will rip each other apart when introduced! But I guess they won't help you fight Nazis and PETA freaks. Especially not if you've got only 6 of them... Although you could maybe fill them with explosives or toxic gas?

You CAN survive being struck by lightning and getting hit with a flamethrower. And you probably would faint. But it would take longer then a couple of seconds to recover in the hospital. So that part is not ENTIRELY realistic. But close enough right?

Yeah, I should probably have ended my last post with /sarcasm. ;)

Maybe there would always be a way for you to get down, like hopping down. However not always a way up (only in certain seasons)

Can you reword this, I can barely understand it?

-_-" Now I know how swimfastray felt.

I was being sarcastic in my post. I know pokemon is not realistic.
I continued being sarcastic in the first two paragraphs of my post after that. I was jokingly explaining that the things in Pokemon are kind of possible.

Explaining the joke part, making it even less funny then it already was:
Betta fish are small colourful fish, that were once used in fights. Similar to pitbulls and roosters today. They are often kept in small bottles and other containers, and thus would fit in a pokeball.

6 fish (the number of pokemon that trainers carry) would not help you defeat evil groups (I said Nazis and PETA, because those are evil groups). Unless you turn them (the fish) into a weapon, by filling them up with explosives or other dangerous materials.

You could actually survive being hit by lightning, or getting burned. The pain and shock would cause you to faint (like Pokemon do if they are defeated). But, unlike in Pokemon(centers) the wounds would take a long time to recover. So the fast healing process in Pokemon is impossible. Other then that, it's kind of possible.

Tada!

What would be the point? There will be other areas to go to depending on the Seasons, but going nowhere? In a Pokemon game? Impossible.

dmaster out.

@ShayminSky & Dmaster - They've done it in a Metroid game, I don't see why it wouldn't be a big mistake in a Pokemon game, although it is really unlikely.
