Pokemon If Pokemon -> computer game...

Okay, so I was just daydreaming, and I began to wonder what will happen if pokemon changed to a computergame PLUS if it was 3-D. You know, like Warcraft. (I do not own Warcraft its just that my friend owns it. Do not get me wrong, i do NOT enjoy the concept of eternal killing between monsters and humans, but I do enjoy the amazing graphic and the amazing landscapes and the places you can travel.)

So if Pokemon changed to Warcraft (...) it would be pretty awesome, in my opinion anyway. (Once again, I was daydreaming.) It would be quite like the Mystery Dungeon series, except everything's 3D and the graphics are outstanding. And there would be no starters, but you could choose any basic pokemon to be yourself (excluding legendaries). There would be two forces, much like Warcraft, one bad and one good. And the pokemon you choose will affect what 'force' you are in, for example if you choose Deino you would be in the 'bad' force and if you choose pikachu you would be in the 'good' force. If you faint, a Delibird will fly to you holding a Revive. And then you would also create teams (again, much like the Mystery Dungeon) to go on quests and stuff. And once again the graphics would be absolutely fantastic. To travel you can use Wailord/Mantine to travel on sea and perhaps Dragonite on air. Quests would be like um... like for beginners, defeating 20 bad guys (for the 'bad force', defeating 20 good guys) and then as you proceed the quests would be much more harder liek defeating Darkrai....

LOL thanks for reading all of this. I know this is pretty stupid but its kind of an idea i had for almost a year. If you play Warcraft you would have a pretty good idea of what i am saying here

I think it would be cool if pokemon actually existed in real-life as opposed to bunches of different-coloured pixels on a screen. That would be epic in my opinion.

Other than this post and your post I don't see what else there is to discuss if I'm honest, but if you like your idea then that's cool. :)

What is the title supposed to say, anyway? That's not comprehensible language.
If Pokemon was a computer game.

I do like the idea, but it is closely related to Mystery Dungeon (as you have stated). I doubt that a Pokemon game with this type of game play will be made for the computer game, though the concept does sound somewhat interesting.

I've never enjoyed any computer games (aside from Solitaire) for the sole reason that they inconvenience me as a player by having to be played on a computer as opposed to a handheld device like the DS, 3DS, or PSP (which one can just take out on a whim and play to his or her heart's content). Also, I doubt most Pokemon video-game fans would stand for it to begin with simply for that fact. I mean, most of the console games don't usually as well as the titles for the handhelds anyways, right?

The thing that really makes this cumbersome is that a game for an actual computer would probably mean co-operating with (or making the game compatible for) Microsoft OS. Seeing as how Nintendo is in direct competition with Microsoft's XBox 360, I don't see this happening easily. What WOULD be great would be a downloadable game for the Wii that would auto-download (patch) when needed. Giving the game a bizarrely large pricetag through Virtual Console (about $50 for the base) and then having to pay to unlock add-ons or new versions of the game to which you can download would be the most feasible method of making this happen (but still very unlikely).

I'm sorry, Apollo, but I couldn't help laughing when you said that.

ON TOPIC:
I personally love this idea, though I highly doubt they'll go through with it.

A mystery dungeon-styled game on Source or Anvil engine would be sweet.

Or even the latest rendition of UE3

I say "mystery dungeon" style because I like the premise of playing as a pokemon. Pokepark Wii gave a good taste of what it could be like in a real time 3D setting, and it's definitely worth exploring again in future.

It's not a bad idea, but I don't know how it would work. Pokemon on the DS is really the best way to do it, I think. If you mean an online, paid website, sure I guess. If you mean a downloaded game, the not a good idea. An entire game on a comp. would be to much for a comp to handle.

That is true and most the nintendo company would barely get any money off of this maybe if you changed it a little and made it a wii game cuz not a lot of people buy computer games
