Im confused with this ruling the Pokemon TCG has about confusion. What does it mean when it ask you-"Only apply Weakness and Resistance for actual damage, not damage counters". What does this mean? And also, let's say I have a electrike that is electric type but it's weakness is electric also, when it gets confused and I flip a coin and says tails, do I do 30 damage plus 30 more damage it's weakness too?

No, when you attack while you are Confused, and you flip a coin, you have to put 3 damag Counters. so you'll add 3 damage counters without affecting Weakness/Resistance.

Hope i helped ^^

Meaning even if the pokemon i'm playing is weakness to it's own type, it does'nt get "extra damage"? How about this-(Only apply Weakness and Resistance for actual damage, not damage counters). I still don't get that part about "actual damage, not damage counters".

It's simple

Let's take an example, a Pokemon with 2 moves:

Move A: Quick Attack 20+
Flip a coin, if heads, this attack does 20+10 more damage.

Move B: Shadow Strike
Put 3 damage counters on one of your opponent's Pokémon

See the difference? Quick Attack would do either 20 or 30 DAMAGE, whereas Shadow Strike allows you to place Damage Counters. Placing Damage Counters, as what goes for the example Shadow Strike, is NOT affected by weakness or resistance. Otherwise, the REAL damage what Quick Attack would deal, IS affected by Weakness or Resistance.

Did that help you?

Furthermore, Damage counters are counted as an effect, so anything that says...
"Prevent all effects of attacks" will stop it. Whether or not it prevents damage or not is irrelevent, unless it's 20 and put two damage counters.

You know m0nster1nc, I think that that ^ would confuse me even more

When it says to place damage counters the amount is set in stone (ohh.. I have some serious metaphorical issues), while when it says damage It gives a less concrete (at least I didn't say more spongy...lol) amount as weakness and resistance are apllied, unless otherwise stated.

More questions- Let say I have boost Energy and it says-If the Pokemon Boost Energy is attached to is no longer and evolve Pokemon, discard it". What do you mean by "No longer"? Does that mean if my active pokemon gets knocked out, Boost Energy remains in the field when one of my evolved replaces it?

More questions- If my Houndoom has this attack- flip a coin, if heads, prevent all attacks.... If I had a Marowak that says- This attack is not affected by.....who should I follow?

Marowak. Marowak's Swift/Brick Smash/Fastwave/whatever isn't affected by anything on the Def Pokémon, and Houndoom's Agility/whatever is an effect. So the 30/60/90/19398451230 damage gets through.

More questions-

If I have a Basic Larvitar which needs two energy cards to attach to and I can't attck because I don't have that much energy, should I "pass"?

m0nster1nc is correct.
You can retreat and attack with other Pokemon.
(Of course you can evolve Larvitar and attack if you can.)
Otherwise, you need to end your turn without the attack.

More questions, in the play-mat of most them decks (On the special conditions section), let's say my Pokemon's asleep and i'm trying to wake it up. But it says to flip a coin whenever while the instruction leaflet says after, who should I follow?

you flip the coin in between turns. That is, you get to flip 2 coins after your Pokemon becomes asleep if attacked by the Defending: the first time is immediately after the attack and before you draw your card, and the second time is immediately after your turn and before your opponent draws his card.

Whenever a turn switches (Opponent finishes his turn, you finish your turn) you flip the coin.
