What do you look for in a deck you want to play? Speed? Consistency? Share your thoughts on what you think of the most when you build a deck, and why you think it's important.

RE: In a deck...

I like to look for things that are consistent and strategy/creative. I prefer fast deck most of the time though. I mainly focus on consistent, I think it is important because you can have the fastest deck every and what not and if you get a bad start with no draw you can lose very quickly.

RE: In a deck...

Though I look at the speed of a deck first, I also look for the versatility and unpredictability of a deck. I want to be able to have useful cards in my hand as often as possible, but I don't want my opponent to be able to know what I'm up to. It's also very important that a deck can easily compete with a variety of different decks.

RE: In a deck...

I go for a combination of two and four from the poll (speed and consistancy). When I build a deck I'll usually just put a lot of consistancy cards to help it out but then later when I actually see how slow/fast it is I tech accordingly to make the deck faster. Whether it be through more evolution speed (BTS, Spiritomb, etc.) or a few Pokemon Communication. But I seem to always either have a Spiritomb, Chatot, or Sableye in all of my decks to help with the consitancy problems it may have when playing many games.

RE: In a deck...

Speed with consistency.

After lots of math, I calculated that my deck has a 89% chance of getting set up on t2.

RE: In a deck...

consistency. I need to always get fully set up (preferably twice) on my first turn or the deck doesn't work for me.

RE: In a deck...

I like my deck to be, if not lightning-fast, to be powerful enough to stop my opponents from performing lightning-fast setups. Because, (as a result of the metagame...), popular decks are VERY fast and if you have a slow deck, you're going to get creamed before you can even do anything!! My decks also have backups(meaning things like healing cards, super scoop ups, etc.), because decks can always be unlucky, so in my opinion, why not prepare for those bad moments.

RE: In a deck...

Consistency, consistency, consistency. It doesn't matter how fast a deck is IMO; if it's not consistent it'll never do what it wants at least for me.

dmaster out.

RE: In a deck...

i like speed over anything else, but consistency is key. cya

RE: In a deck...

I like power and speed. I built my deck around consistancy problems. I always draw what I need.

RE: In a deck...

Ha, it seems there's a consistent pattern of people liking consistency! I like it too, but I also like high damage output.

RE: In a deck...

I think every deck needs consistancy to be successful, so if I could have two answers it would probably be Speed (1) and consistancy (2). I like any deck that can run on low energy or no energy at all.

RE: In a deck...

No matter how good a deck may seem to be...consistency is always #1 priorty. I also like to use my favorite Pokemon!

RE: In a deck...

Consistency and preferably fun to use cards. I dont like repeating the same attack 8 times and call it a game much, so yeah...

RE: In a deck...

For the fun, rogue decks I build, I like high energy, high damage attacks. I especially enjoy decks that can recycle the energy to repeat the high damage output every turn/ every other turn.

RE: In a deck...

I like:

1) Consistency
2) Speed
3) High damage output
4) Lots of options.

All my decks need to get consistently set up for them to be my kind of deck. Then, I go for speed. If it has big damage output, then that's even better. And lastly, it's not an option on the poll, but I like a deck with lots of options. That way, no matter what my opponent throws at me, I've got something to counter it. I've got a deck that consistently gets set up T1-T2 for big damage. I once did 100 damage T1. That's the kind of deck I like.
