Is anyone else in Hawaii or Chile?

LOL i love it when americans say "MAN BLIZZARDS ARE SO COLD!!!" XD in canada our winters are ALL blizzards hahah. ;)

Bah, you Canadians. You think you're so great with your ice and your Nunavut and your polar bears and your maple syrup...

The main reason I complain about the cold is because the other half of the year it is hot and ridiculously humid. WE ARE TOO COOL FOR SPRING AND FALL.

I was thinking this also. Considering you live in a place where natural disasters can hit, it'd be a safe bet to assume your family has some sort of home owner's insurance just in case something were to happen. And lets say something did happen, that insurance will pay for most the items that were lost. Most valuable should be things that are irreplacable. Maybe photo albums, maybe something you were given to a loved one that has passed, electronic items can be replaced, but items like those can't.
Well, we did get a picture of my puppy Penny and me...:)
But IDK how that home insurance stuff works. We're renting an apartment now though... And some of those things ARE sentimental!
How could they replace my game data?!
Update: Everything is OK, the wave became puny and everyone is fine! Thanks for all the support though, and I hope everyone else is OK.

I live in NY as well and the conditions are horrible. A lot of people don't have power or tree limbs have fallen on their houses. The only damage we have is that our shed collapsed. Anyway, everyone who is in the path of the tsunami, stay safe and good luck.

Ummm, the tsunami, its going to hit Japan.

and with Chile, they're saying the Quake in Haiti was alot worse, so yea its bad, its not that bad.

Actually, the earthquake in Chile registerd higher on the rictor scale than Hati. They are saying it is worse there because more people died because the country is less developed.

Chile had also taken less damage all together. And now because of this, I never hear anything about Haite. Its stuff like this that saddens me, once a new natural disaster happens, the world shifts its focus. Hence why New Orleans still isn't rebuilt. We keep moving from 1 problem to the next without helping rebuild fully.

I know the feeling, for sure! Every year recently Southern California is ravaged by intense wildfires. I've been evacuated something like 6 times.

I'm glad it was a false alarm!
