Is it a good time to build a deck?

So around last year I was really into the TCG. I played it casually at mu local pokemon league. I just got back to it recently. But now, the entire deck is rotated out for the new season so I need a new deck. I'm just worried that if I invest my money into a deck, I don't want it becoming obsolete when the new expansions come. So do I build a now, or wait? Thanks

Hey, welcome to PokéBeach!
I'd suggest you wait until a couple of months after Worlds, since then people will have already played tournaments in XY-on, so the most effective decks will be known by then.

Most decks a pretty good for a year unless a counter is printed. It looks like you went on a year-long hiatus meaning you've missed a whole rotation, so I'd advise what Vom mentioned and wait until after Worlds.

XY-on decks are not going to be known for a while because of Regionals being expanded. Look at XY-on sets and start building a strategy.

Fall Regional tournaments are using the Expanded format, which means that any card from BW through now is legal for deck construction.
