I completely forgot about that! You're right, but still 2 hits.
Or 2 plus powers... :) I don't like using babies cause they are easy to snipe down and can easily hurt your game more than be of help.

Yeah but who's gonna waste 2 pluspowers to kill a yanma with a pokemon that can be revenged right back? Plus, the only time you'd actually face yanma (or have tyrogue active and not dead) would be turn 1 so the chances of having 2 pluspower is really rare. Also, Yanma's Pokebody gives it free retreat so it just switches if Tyrogue hits it, or it evolves and kills him.

Well if opponent has no other pokemon on the battlefield. :p Ain't the donking main purpose of tyrogue?

Clearly the main purpose is to get 30 damage for free. It completes any strategy.[/sarcasm]

Yeah, donking T2 is very rare. Good luck starting against Yanma and getting 2 attacks off...

Even if your opponent has a Cleffa out and you KO it with a Tyrogue, that Tyrogue's just going to end up as
a) something taking up a bench space, and
b) a free prize later.

I don't think it's too worth it.
Well there is super scoop up

And who wants to waste a couple slots in your deck for something that might not work unless you have to? The cons far outweigh the pros of Tyrogue.

I knew someone would say this.

Let me ask you: are you going to use your SSU on a damaged Pokémon in your Active slot (or something stuck up there because of Reversal), or your benched Tyrogue that's serving no purpose whatsoever in being SSU'd?

For that matter, who even plays SSU?

/here's the way I see it. People are finally starting to realize babies were overhyped, and now less people run them, so there is less point to use Tyrouge. But as less people use Tyrouge, more people use Cleffa. See the problem? Yes, there will still be people who realise there are other ways than Tyrouge to donk, or people who realise running a baby in general is dangerous, but I think it's better to just not use a baby. The only Baby I run is Smoochum, and that's in my Electivire deck, and thats because there are only two pokemon who move your opponents energy, and Smoochum is faster. Imo, don't use any baby, unless your deck NEEDS it

i think so. sometimes when you are 30 hp short to ko some of your opponents' pokemon with high HP e.g. Tyranitar, tyrogue will be one of the best pokemon to serve the use of giving the last shot with 50% of invincibility.
it can also be used mid-game to stall your opponent out

I saw many people still running Cleffa and Tyrogue at Worlds (including most of my friends). It's great to stall and use even mid-game for some damage/refresh. There was probably a couple Manaphy here and there, but babies did not go down that much IMO. Especially if Pichu and Elekid are being seen around lol.

dmaster out.
