My states is about 50 minutes away and is dreadfully early on a saturday. Is it worth trying to go? I have never been to states before.

Have you ever gone to a Pokemon tourney before?

If you are desperate, then you should go. If not, look for a nearby state. When does the tourney start?

50 minutes travel a lot?
*Ruptures a kidney trying to surpress a painful laugh*

Yes, 50 minutes is definitely worth it. MP3 players and NDS for life.

I have been to a tourney before (Cities a BR and Nats)

Registration starts at 9 ends at 10:30

So you'd have to start driving at 8:30 or so? Have everything ready the night before, have breakfast in the car or skip it, wake up at 8:15. That's not bad at all, even for a weekend.

For SOME of us, the "nearby states" are like 300+ miles away >_>

I have to routinely go to tournaments 50 minutes away, not a big deal.

Yeah, having to drive every time is a hassle, but States is supremely worth it. Maybe try flying if you're impatient. Most people do that to get to two States every year anyway.

dmaster out.

50 minutes a long time? Ha, I'd gladly switch places with you. The closest anything is 115 miles away.

Considering you will get quite a bit of game time and could win a good number of packs if you win, I'd say it is worth it.

Mine is an hour away and starts at 9:00. I'm also going to illinois, kentucky, and michigan!

How are you making it to three states when there are only two weekends for them? Just curious about that one.

Anyhow, 50 minutes is nothing for states. Be thankful that you are that close.

I cant even go to one because the UK doesnt do anything for pokemon, little amounts of tournements (which are full of kids, I think adults here see it childish) There is also no events for the video game :(. That is why I gave up TCG, just be happy you have the convienience that is America, so enjoy what you have.

BTW 50 mins is nothing, for me its like 9-10 hours via aeroplane

My states is roughly 5 minutes away depending on traffic and doesn't start until 2:00pm, but eh, thats what the United Kingdom is all about :D.

50 minutes for states? nothing. I always have to drive 1:00 for a PRERELEASE! My states is 5 hours away, so I can't go. (By the way, are the locations the same for both weekends?)

50 minutes is worth it, seriously have you been in Texas, it takes soooo long to get to places you need to go so you should go since it is only 50 mins away. It will be fun.
*Thankfully they changed states location for us this year, no more long drives lol*

Agreed. I'll have to drive 4 hours if I go, and that's if I prove to my mom I am responsible enough

So, CuboneGirl98, here's what we're all trying to say....

GO!
