Help Is Ninetales GX Deck a Good Deck that is Better to Use than Darkrai or Volcanion?

I don't mean quit, I mean play another card game with more interacts so you can pick up better habits. If you don't want to do that, then find yourself a competitive group of players and just play games. They will teach you a lot. You're going to lose a lot and that's okay since the goal is to learn and figure out when you need to play cards.

I guess the question is what deck are your playing and what is its list?

I'm 12-7 with the deck. Honestly I should have fewer losses because some losses I have are due to shit like not getting a Float Stone...

Watch some streams or Youtube videos of tournament matches and/or people testing. A lot of the commentary discusses why certain plays are being made. If you're hooked on Volcanion, you can definitely find vids covering it.

That's something I do to help my game. (Any game actually) I'm a long time fan of Pokémon, but only recently got into competitive play. There are countless scenarios in this game, but some key plays are common. Try to mimic the better players and learn from it.

Also try slowing down. I know there is a timer, but in between turns be thinking of your next play. If need be, stall with your card plays. Take a few extra seconds on your energy placement to think things over. You'll catch a lot of your misplays this way.

I know where you're coming from though. I'm no stranger to bad plays. I've placed float stones on active Fright Night Yveltals. Hex'd THEN played Shaymin, etc. Slowing down and watching others play, has helped me a ton.
Never give up.

What @Snibachi said, just watch streams, one day I stumbled upon the Worlds Stream from 2015 and got hooked again on pokemon. Watched a lot of streams to see how people played, and to see how you should play certain scenarios.
