Is PMD Explorers of Sky worth buying? Also, best starter and partner?

RE: Explorers of Sky. Help please.

^ i always pick pikachu. ill just teach him discharge and ill have vacuum cut. the hardest thing i found was the luxray battle. that battle was so hard i had to retry at least over 15 times. facing the guild was easier.

RE: Explorers of Sky. Help please.

Vacuum Cut either deals a set 35 or 18 damage to all enemies that it hits. It is not all that good of a move.
However, in regards to the Amp Plains boss (where they got replaced with Manectric line), now Discharge really is useless there!
In regards to the original question: If you already have one of the PMD2 games already I'd say no. PMD2.5 is virtually the same thing as PMD2, except it has a bunch of extra goodies you can do. I mean, it's a new way to experience the game, but if you already have EoT/EoD, I wouldn't waste your money.

RE: Explorers of Sky. Help please.

For Luxray I taught myself (Riolu) Dig. I knew Pikachu could last with Thunderbot, so I just kept using Dig and we won on the second attempt (first try I didn't know dig)

RE: Explorers of Sky. Help please.

@ DNA that was my problem was pikachu was useless. the problem was that i could kill luxray but then i had like 8 luxios to worry about and getting hit 8 times in a row takes its toll. i havnt beat sky yet but i did beat time. is there any real differences?

RE: Explorers of Sky. Help please.

I played darkness a while ago and don't remember all of it, but I think the main differences between the games is the possible starter and partner, and there are a bunch of side quests, such as the story of Wigglytuff.

Plot: No (except that Luxray boss is now Manectric w/8 Electrike, there are no differences)
Extra stuff: Yes. Lots and lots of it. Extra dungeons, special episodes, Spinda's Cafe...

...which reminds me, Jirachi moved out of the Final Maze and into an extra dungeon in EoS.

RE: Explorers of Sky. Help please.

I actually traded in my EoS 3 days ago. I didn't really like it. It got boring and repetetive.

RE: Explorers of Sky. Help please.

^Yeah I have to agree. After a year of trying to pretend the game is good,I just couldn't take it anymore and sold my copy.Or maybe that's because I owned both EoDarkness and EoTime at that time.

RE: Explorers of Sky. Help please.

i did the bidoof side mission which was awesome. wasnt there a code for shaymin?

RE: Explorers of Sky. Help please.

I love the Wigglytuff one so far. The mini episodes are really cool.

RE: Explorers of Sky. Help please.

I'm getting bored with it to tell you the truth..... I think I'm going to trade Explorers of Sky, and Modern Warfare Mobilized to put towards Pokemon Black. Then, I'll just pay the rest of the money it needs :p

Nope; you should automatically have access to Sky Peak (Shaymin's place) soon after you graduate from the guild. It's actually a really easy dungeon - it has about 25 floors or so, but there are break points every 2-3 floors, and save points about every 4-5 floors.

(I don't want to try and reveal too much spoiler so I'll leave it at that...)

RE: Explorers of Sky. Help please.

Sky was worth buying.I played it a lot,and got many hours out of it.Why do people say it's boring,it's a great game!?I beat EoT and Eos twice. My first time I did Eos,I chose Totodile and Riolu. Then the second time I got Mudkip and maybe Chimchar, but i'm not sure. Both of the teams worked out very well for me.
