When Gamestop took the game, I'm pretty sure it worked. Cause my buddy said it had come in a couple days before hand, and they normally test everything to see if it works before the put it on the shelves.

I know one Gamestop around my area that had about 6 bootleg cartridges in their GBA area (like bad copies of games that actually existed), and all of them looked clearly fake. Most do - just that one doesn't.
